191 Hotel

This small hotel is on the 6th floor and is accessed from an entrance lobby in a side street. So not obvious from the outside. The location is good with the main station only 15 mins. walk away. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Clean with very comfortable beds. Our room was flamboyantly decorated with a very 'cute' Hello Kitty theme. This style also extends to the reception area and corridors. We stayed here at the beginning and end of a 2 week holiday tour of Taiwan and the staff were so friendly it was like coming back home when we stayed the second time. Many rooms do have windows (obviously windowless ones are cheaper), the WiFi is good and second room keys are available with a small returnable deposit. The only strange thing was them saying that a late checkout fee would be more than the cost of another night's stay!
