Stayed for 2 nights in peak season. Room was a bit dirty when we arrived and the reception staff was nowhere to be seen at 3pm when we checked in. They left envelopes for everyone arriving with keys in them, which was fine. 
Breakfast was ok, served between 7.20-9 and had run out of lots of stuff at 8.30. No bacon, pancakes or juice. Rest was good. 
Rooms are a good size and you can bring your pets. You can hear your neighbours so walls seems very thin.  Walking distance to food shopping centre/ ICA Maxi. Buses goes from there in to Visby. 
Location is great. Close to Visby. Free parking. Had a fridge in our room which was particularly convenient

Lovely place to stay in Visby, surrounded by nature just outside the city. 
We had a nice room with a private bathroom in the main building next to the reception. The room was spacious enough for two people but it could fit two more people (bunk beds). The bathroom included a shower and was spotlessly clean - thumbs up!
Towels and bed sheets must be hired at the reception because they are not automatically included in your booking.
Breakfast was included and the breakfast building was not far from our cabin. The selection of drinks, juices, and food was good! You can also use the laundry if you need - as we did. 
The place is 10 min walking from a big supermarket and bus stops to go to the city center - just keep in mind that busses are not so frequent and you might have to wait over an hour for one. Bicycles can be hired at the hotel in case you do not have a car.

Peaceful stay in Visby

We had a small room and the bathroom was even smaller. 
Everything spotlessly clean though.
We had a basic breakfast with sorts of bread, meat (cold), cheese, egg (boiled), jams, fruits, yoghurt, cereals, juices, selection of coffee and tea,… 
The reception was not staffed during the weekend and that was rather inconvenient cause bedsheets and towels are not included. There’s an app-paying system but we didn’t had that feature but luckily the kitchen manager helped us out. 
You have to clean your room yourself. We didn’t read the fine print. ;)
Not our kind of stay but objectively speaking everything was fine.

You can rent bikes and it’s a short biking distance from Visby which is a very very lovely town.

The price is quite convenient, especially if you are 3-4 people.
The cabin has everything you need, including a small kitchen and a small bathroom.
The cabin is inside the woods and you have a table to have breakfast outdoor. It's just 5 minutes by car from the centre of Visby.
The surroundings are full of moths, which will get inside as soon as you open the door...

Nice cabin in the woods

Accommodation in cabins with separate beds, in a scattered coniferous forest. Mini private bathroom,r strictly educated. Rent laundry (110 SEK) and bicycle over rent (200 SEK/pers for 2 nights). Compulsory accommodation at the end of the stay. Located more than 2 km from the city centre making it difficult to access without its own means of transportation.

Far from anything, no services provided (except overcharging), basic comfort

We stayed in one of the wooden huts at this Swedish "youth hostel" type site, the huts were basic, coming with bunk beds, shower, toilet, hot plate, fridge, coffee maker and a kettle, if you arrive by public transport take the "5b" bus from the Ostercentrum and get off at the "ICA Maxi" stop and it's about a ten minute walk.

The huts are situated at the edge of a wood which we found very relaxing, the staff were very helpful, letting us get into our hut about four hours before check in time and let us stay for a couple of hours after we should have left, they will also show you a good shortcut to take if you walk to town, which takes about half an hour.

The staff will also book you a taxi which to go to Visby which costs about SEK 150 during the day. Breakfast is provided for about SEK 90 a day or you can do your own with stuff from the "ICA Maxi" superstore.

A peaceful stay

This was the perfect place for my 14-year-old niece and I to stay on the island of Gotland.  We had our own little cottage complete with cooking facilities.  It's just on the edge of the woods.  There's a hot tub that can be used before 8pm in the evening. Just lovely.
Please note that for us it was essential to rent a car on the island.  STF Hostel Visby/Rävhagen is too far out of town to walk and Gotland is too big to rely only on buses and bicycles.  The WiFi was good enough to downstream Bergmann's Fanny and Alexander after visiting the enchanting island of Fårö off the northeast coast of Gotland where Ingmar Bergman made many of his movies and where he lived, died and is buried.  The breakfast at Visby/Rävhagen, which is about $8US, was enormous and delicious.  A great stay!

Outside of Visby but good spot to say over if you want to avoid the city. 
You can get there buy public transport but better if you have car. they serve simple breakfast and you can use the kitchen to prepare your own food.

good value

This hostel was clean and had very pleasant staff. The location is far from Visby so you need to arrange some kind of transportation (car or bike). Bikes could be rented for SEK 80. We stayed in a room in a kind of dormitory with shared bathroom but there are also small cottages for added privacy. STF Rävhagen is located in the middle of the woods with nice opportunities to arrange barbeques with other guests. It is a self-service kind of place and you need to clean and do the dishes yourself. This worked quite well since most people respect these rules. Unfortunately some younger guests made a lot of noise and since there's no staff available during the late hours noone could correct them. Still, this is good value for money.
