We wondered if the Wardshus, where we've stayed for many years, would be as good in the hands of the new young owners. We need not have worried. This traditional hotel in its beautiful lakeside setting,is still as cosy as ever and the staff just as helpful and friendly. There's still a lovely breakfast buffet, and the dinner we had was delicious and served with a very good wine. We entertained six guests for their brand new Sunday Brunch, and everyone agreed it was magnificent - plenty of varieties of fish and meat dishes, salads, traditional Swedish hot dishes, and the most desserts we have ever seen on a Swedish buffet. No question, we'll be coming back to the Wardshus again and again!
