Very nice cabin for 5 people, very clean.  It was a bit farther off the main road than we thought but was worth it to get 2 hours south of Stockholm on our vigorous road trip. Help was very friendly.  Internet was only in the main office but available all night long.

This hotel is situation close to water bear Kolmården Zoo. We stayed in a small, clean dubbelroom! The beaktas was nice and the vue was fantastic! They have a spa but You have to book that in advance!

Calm and relaxing hotel, with beautiful view of the coastline and countryside, a good starting point for excursions in the Östergötland archipelago. Only a 15 minutes driving from interesting Norrköping. Good cuisine and very helpful staff. We appreciated some special attentions by the owner. Some natural reserves along the cost between Norrköping and Kalmaren offer possibilities for hiking and walks of different degree of difficulty.  On the less positive side, the hotel is a bit oldish and needs some renovation.  Rooms are small. WiFi only in the lobby area. In spite of these shortcomings we were satisfied of our stay and found this hotel quite charming.

Off the freeway a bit but lovely

Hotel and Kolmårdens Zoo

The Fredgagården lies a bit in no mans land if you are on foot. With a car, its not a problem coming back and forth. Scenery around the hotel is beautiful. Unsure of the 'borders' of the hotel in the garden, but no big problem there.

The rooms was a bit out of time. With a few bucks, new closet, bigger tv and a new bed, they could gladly charge +100 SEK and have a trendy, yet romantic look. Some mess in the 'tv area' could also easily been removed.

We decided to go out to eat at first, but a pleasant man with a nose for service actually with hes service mindedness changed our mind, and we chose to dine at the hotel. Marvelous food. 

Wifi was a bit sketchy

Excellent food, nice staff, boring rooms

Nice location next to the water, but that is the only nice thing of this place. 

It needs serious updating, wall paper peeling off walls, bad, bad smell, couldn't open window to properly air the room, dark bathroom, stained and torned mattresses, nasty stains in towels, outdated TV and furniture. Left after 30 minutes because we couldn't spend a full night there. Room shouldn't have been offered to clients in this state.

Owner/manager couldn't be bothered with my complaints, he just wanted to get payed asap.
