QR Quality Rooms Cedar Palm Villa

Our flights were delayed and then cancelled at 9pm. The island was fully booked and we had young kids with us. After scrambling for a safe place close by, we found this hotel.

It doesn’t have frills. You aren’t walking distance to much, but the staff (mainly Nana) were so incredibly nice and helpful that it made a bad situation work. We were stranded in St Lucia for two extra days with American Airlines not being helpful and having us constantly be in standby to leave. With that stress, we had three delicious meals per day, good internet, and a very different area to explore; eg a goat gave birth next door while we were there.

Would I spend a week here with my family after flying all the way to S Lucia, probably not, but if you need a night by the airport, this place worked like a charm.

Wonderful Vacation  A little piece of Paradise for sure, what a lovely vacation  I had.
 All my needs and expectations were.met.
So.pleasantly surprised and more 

Room and apartments restaurant were so spacious and lovely and clean.  
The staff go above and beyond so kind friendly caring and so welcoming. 
Wonderful St luican people wholesome and with heart , all they do its like your amongst one big happy  family, been there .
The rooms.had aircon and fluffy white towels on all rooms .were cleaned daily and self contained 
So I could do my own.meals if.i wanted too..

The balcony views were wonderful to sit and lounge with a good book.. after the busy day .
Yes sun loungers were available and great 👍🏽 to by the 🍸 bar.
Loved been there the only set back ,my stay wasn't long enough .. 
I would definately return and hope to be back next year.. 
And no hesitation of where I need to be !!

I had a change of flight and had to stay in St Lucia for a night (you're not allowed to stay at the UVF airport overnight) so i started to look for cheap hotels and found a different one which looked scary, so i had already set my expectations low! When i saw Cedar Palm Villa online i couldn't believe how nice it was especially for such a reasonable price :) 

When we arrived at the villa, the area outside was clean and spacious. The workers are really professional and super helpful (we didn't have food, soap, toothpaste or brushes- they sell some things you just have to ask at the front). 
We stayed in the ground level room so when we walk out of our room they have some sun chairs available and the area outside is clean and you can tell they put a lot of work in keeping it like that! We had a mini fridge, a couch and a make up table and 2 mirrors. 

There were a lot of ants on top of the fridge because we left a drink out, so definitely be careful about leaving food or drinks around.

My family and I came in for a wedding and stayed for about a week at this location. I must say the best part was the staff. Bruce was just so nice and humble and Coleen was so helpful! The room was so cozy, it was like my own little apartment. The AC worked WONDERS. Thank god for AC! Our bedroom led into a separate room which came equipped with a full kitchen, having access to a small dining table, microwave, stove and sink. Well cleaned bathroom. Our room had a table outside which was convenient incase you wanted to eat breakfast outdoors. Thank goodness for the wifi provided that kept me sane! Anything we needed, we simply asked for and the staff was always so delightful in helping. 
I also forgot to mention that they had just started offering a complimentary breakfast and that they also sell beverages if you ask up front.
My family also used one of their outdoor areas as a venue to host my cousins bachelorette party. It was a nice big space. Thank you! I would definitely recommend this stay if you're traveling on a budget yet still offered something nice! 

I agree with the reviewer that said it depends on what expect from your St Lucian holiday. So If you are on a budget and so cannot afford to rent a car or taxis all the time and are looking for busy night life then this is not the right location; you need to book your accommodation in the north of the island.

I spent three weeks at Cedar Palm Villa and had a great time, the staff were excellent, warm and friendly, location suited me as it has good bus links making it easy for me to visit friends and family who mainly live in the south of St Lucia. My room was clean, comfortable and cosy and the AC was excellent. As a woman travelling on her own, I loved Cedar Palm Villa and it's staff.

They seemed to have addressed quite a few of the issues raised in other reviews: housekeeping, bar and drinks, breakfast have been improved. For a hotel, it has a really cosy and comfortable feel, similar to a guesthouse which will suit some; as a hotel it may seem very basic compared to hotels in Europe, USA and Canada; however, you really need to compare it to other hotels on the island in its price range. 

It has a wide variety of accommodation so you really need to tell them what you are looking for when you book, and they will advise which accommodation will be best for your stay as some of the rooms do not have a microwave, cooker etc. so will cost less.
I stayed in an apartment that had a cooker, fridge, microwave, kettle etc. but this is what I asked for when I booked. I prefer to book self-catering or have a mixture so this was ideal for my needs. 

Previous reviews did mention the lack of a coffee machine and I have to agree; I have friends that would go crazy without a coffee machine in their room. Also, if you need to do your laundry there is a separate business just up the road; you have to drop it off yourself but if you give your room number then it will be delivered to your room when ready. 

The staff were very accommodating; I ordered food but could not eat it straight away so they left it in my fridge, when there was an issue with the toilet it was fixed the same day. You can have your meals e.g. breakfast in your room or out on the patio with other guests.

•	Nice social space which is being developed
•	Bar area
•	Rooms have double locks

•	Got given a discount due to my length of stay 
•	Creole breakfast was nice  $35EC 
•	Can pre order a different breakfast and other meals which costs extra 
•	Peaceful & relaxing
•	Visitors can come & chill out with you in the bar area
•	Taxis can be easily booked

Cons:
•	No coffee machine in rooms
•	If you are looking for self catering then most of the rooms do not have a microwave or other cooking facilities
•	My room did not have a wardrobe or dresser but some rooms do have them. This might deter travellers who want to stay more than one week or who have children 
•	Laundry facilities (not free) less than one minute away but they do not provide an ironing service
•	My room did not feel very caribbean I could have been holidaying in Europe, but there are some rooms which have a very St Lucian feel to them
•	Cedar Palm Villa is in the south and is good for visiting places like Soufriere, the Sulpher Springs, Zip lining in Denery, Mamiku Gardens and the La Tille waterfalls etc.

Useful Advice:

•	I would suggest that on the way from the airport; ask the driver to drop you off at the local supermarket so that you can buy groceries; bottled water, tea, coffee, milk etc. Going shopping can be difficult unless you hire a car or use taxis, as the local buses have very little space so can be uncomfortable. 

•	When booking, discuss your requirements so that they can give you the correct room; also see whether they can create a holiday package that is more tailored to your needs.      

•	People who have family in St Lucia often spend the first half of their holiday in the North (busy night life) and the rest of their holiday in the South, which is closer to the airport.

Really Nice - 1 night stay

Cozy, welcoming stay!

I stayed here for 3 nights in August, the hotel has extremely friendly staff who are very keen to help out. The room is quite basic but it's very clean with a very Caribbean feel. 

Amenities include: 
Ironing boards (with irons available upon request)
A Kettle
A fridge (empty)
A table with 2 chairs
A single sofa
A tv with around 13 channels (not HD or great quality but it's decent)
Sun loungers outside the rooms. 

The running water is lovely and hot too. 

Areas to improve on include: 
The breakfast menu-which says cereal but only includes toast with jam and cream cheese, with a cup of tea. The menu also says fruit so we were expecting watermelon and mango or pineapple (after asking) and got bananas instead. 

The lunch menu is great but you have to request it in advance and the kitchen staff leave at a certain time so unfortunately you can't order food for later on. 

Overall this hotel was decent. I enjoyed my stay. 

Decent hotel-close to Vieux Fort Plaza

This villa is a quiet place to relax away from life's hustles...yet perfect for creating you own quiet storm. The rooms are neat, spacious and privacy is not an issue. Twas a convenient home away from home for me..

Quiet Storm

I booked two rooms for two couples at this property for mid-February 2017, for a one night layover on St Lucia before flying on to St Vincent. I booked through Hotels.com, approximately six weeks before the trip.

On arrival at the property, we were told by the receptionist that they did not have rooms for us, as the entire (small) hotel had been rented out to long stay medical students. They claimed that they tried to phone us, but we had no evidence of that in our cell phone's call log, and they did not leave a voicemail. We were very fortunate that we arrived mid-afternoon, so still had some daylight to try to find other accommodations. We were very fortunate that our great taxi driver (Patrick - of Patricks's Taxi Service 1.758.721.9122) had not left us on the curb, and he suggested Aupic Paradise, which is about 1 km from UVF airport - just up the hill from it. It ended up being an excellent choice. I have written a comprehensive review for that property as well. Just wanted to warn people about Cedar Palm Villa. I have advised Hotels.com of the issue, and they will further investigate.
