Good place for a reasonable price unless you are looking for 5-star service.
We stayed there for 7 days and planned to spend all of the time for lazy beach relax.
Generally speaking - mission accomplished, despite the fact that we faced with a few unusual things for us like room cleaning (and everything else too) per request or
a bit unequipped room (that was fixed in 20 minutes).
Everything else was very good: friendly and attentive staff, silent place, excellent beach, tasty breakfast and so on.

we stayed there after we changed our first hotel in unawatuna. we had a very clean room and good internet. very fast internet and friendly staff . this was our second hotel in unawatuna we were happy with everything there

This is not a 4-star hotel, a maximum of 3 and then on a good day. Wi-Fi practically does not work (it is absolutely impossible to work), e-mail communication is terrible, they answered the request for the transfer only 2 days after I checked into the hotel (despite writing to them a week before), hot water - sometimes yes, sometimes not. Towels in the room are washed, but with dark spots. The service is good and that’s why I don’t put 1. For the included breakfast there are only 2 choices: scrambled eggs or fried eggs. There is a huge construction site near the hotel, and if you are thinking of taking a break from the noise, you are not here. After all of the above, it was fair to return at least 50% of the cost, but this is from the realm of fantasy.

On the websites the photo's look great. In real life it disappoints in many ways. Positive is that the staff is friendly and helpful. But the room we had (we moved) were either leaking, full of cockroaches or very noisy. Also this hotel is packed with Russians and their well known manners. So if you are from Russia, you'll love it maybe.  After a view days we checked out. I feel sorry for the staff and management. But this place does not deserve a better review. 

Not clean, noisy and packed with Russians

Although there was a construction in and around the hotel we received probably the best room in the hotel. The room was huge and clean, but unfortunately we had to complain twice because they switched off the water. What a unconenvient experience at eleven at night when you want to go to bed. Breakfast ist not special....I believe there are many nice cafes around with much better breakfast.
The service and people are not really friendly. The was really the first time in Sri Lanka after one week to experience unfriendly service. We were really happy to change the hotel after the second night.

Never ever again

We planed to relax for six days after a beautiful roundtrip in a beautiful country. This was not the right place for relaxing. When we arrived We where told that we needed to change room the next morning. We kept getting frustrated over a really bad service and dirty rooms. When we tried to tell the staff nothing happened! The only thing that was clean was the bed. And the dirt was definitely not ours. The location is perfect on the beach. But we ended up having our meals on kingfisher who was nearby. The wifi does not work. This was really the place where we never got the real friendly, service minded and smiling people this island is full of. Our advice; Avoid this hotel!!! choose kingfisher hotel instead or anything else instead!!!!!!
