Me and my partner stayed for 3 nights and wished we extended. Lovely family run place that feels homely and is all you need. Close to everything with beautiful views of the sea. Very clean and good big rooms.

Stayed there for 3 nights and felt like home.The rooms were big and clean.Nothing was bad and everything was perfect.Family members were so cool and very helpful.Food was good and delicious.Overall would like to recommend this place to everyone 🙂

The place is easy to find and not close to the road, which makes it very quiet. Nevertheless it takes less than 5 minutes to reach Mirissa beach, and it has a view from the balcony on the left break surfing point. 

The rooms are perfectly clean and comfortable, with both AC and fan. The breakfast is made of toasts, eggs and a full fresh fruits plate, so good!!

The owners have been very welcoming, they made their best during our stay to make it perfect. They even prepared some tea with local plants to help 2 of our friends who got sick before our arrival. On our last day, they arranged a last minute taxi and made sweet cookies for the road!! That was so kind :)

I stayed at AMANDAS guesthouse for over 4 weeks. The view is just amazing, it s a quit and secure place and the whole family is very friendly and open for any request.The beach ist 2 minutes away from the bay where you can swim. I had a unforgettable time in Mirissa, i ll keep so many beautiful moments in my hart! Thank you SRI LANKA:-) I ll be back.

We walked in a negotiated a room for 10 nights. We got one of the top rooms with the large balcony and loved the views over the palm trees and over the sea. Peacocks flying about in the evenings and early mornings made the views extra magical. The room was large and we loved the huge windows that opened up directly onto the balcony - which let the see breeze in cooling the room. The room being higher meant there were less mosquitos about, but we still had plenty to kill. I don’t get it why nearly everywhere in Asia they have these open rooms to the environment yet they just don’t use flyscreens. It would bring about the best of both worlds. Open living with fresh see breezes and the bugs kept out 100%... anyway whinge over. The bathroom was looking a little aged, but everything was working, so no complaint other than a squeegee would have been awesome for after showering to ensure you didn’t keep walking in and out of the bathroom with your wet feet. Breakfasts were adequate- but after 4 mornings we were over white bread, so we opted to find our own spice of sustenance. In saying that, expect a lot of fresh fruit! The owners were nice - buuuut, they do seem over it and not that interested.
Wifi was an issue. We spoke with the owners who assured us it worked well. It did, until it ran out of data. The owner didn’t seem to understand westerners use the internet a lot - more than just for emails. Anyway I suggested he post a note in each room to advise at the start of every month there’s 100gig of data available - and once it’s used it gone until the new months swings by. This might stop some guests from downloading movies. Anyway because it was the 17th and the data was used up and as we work whilst we travel we had to move to another hotel to ensure we had connectivity. Overall we enjoyed our stay, and if not for the wifi we would have rated it higher. It’s partially the hotels fault, and partially other guests constantly streaming.

Stayed at Amanda resort for 3 days, the rooms are ok, very basic but fine. Best part about this hotel is it's a 2 minute walk from the beach and 5 minute walk from the main beach in Mirissa with all the beach restaurants and night life. Breakfast here was lovely especially as you have it on the balcony on the top floor with an amazing view of the sea. 

One night there were thousands of flying bugs on the walls of the resort which put me off as it was our first night but they didn't get into our room and were all gone the next day and didn't return.

Overall we enjoyed our stay at Amanda.

Seems there are many rooms for rent under the title Amanda in Mirrisa..mine was single storey building with 4 rooms behind big metal gate and walls.. okay for the 1000rup a night.. clean enough for Slk standards and fan and mosquito net made sleeping ok..breakfast was ok.. coffee toast omelet and 1 fruit... not 5 star but certainly good for a cheap stay..
