Reasonably priced, great family run place, rooms are air con and adequate, water pressure a little low.
Food was really good. House special rice was amazing. Breakfast will cater for all and is plentiful. Nice pool. Unfortunately a fair few flies around. Outside only.

This location far exceeded our expectations. 
The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The facilities were great, including a lovely pool. The breakfasts were fantastic and there was a good choice on the menu for other meals too. We were a group of 4, comprising 1 couple and 2 singles,  and often ate together, but they kept our bills perfectly itemised. 
The locality was also excellent, set back a couple of hundred metres from the main road for quietness, but still within easy access of the shops, restaurants and the beach. The fish when snorkelling straight off the beach were amazing. 
They also offered other services that we did not need to use on this occasion, like money exchange, airport transfer, etc. 
I highly recommend Villa Red Lobster as a place to stay in Hikkaduwa and will definitely go again if I am in Hikkaduwa.

We were here in January of 2022, it's not far from the beach, it's a big swimming pool, nice staff, it's got its own restaurant, it's cooking very well, the rooms are cleaned often, but there's a lot of mosquitoes in the evening, and the palantine is a lifesaver.

I liked everything, especially the food.

We loved the nice swimming pool and the breakfast. Ubication is also really good, close to beach and restaurants but quiet. Bathroom was  clean and hot water pressure was excellent as the WiFi connection. Red Lobster Family was really friendly. Thanks!!

Nice and calm villa

Very convenient hotel, easy access, close to the beach and restaurants. Excellent staff and very helpful. Breakfast included in the price and swimming pool available if you want to swim. They also have a backup generator for power cuts.

Very good hotel.

We stayed in this villa 2 times during our trip to Sri Lanka (from 7 to 10 November and from 20 to 23 November). It's a lovely, welcoming staff. The host is very nice. There is hot water in this villa, which is not very important, fan. The first time we stayed was a room after repair on the 2nd floor, there was a kitchen where you could make tea, eat, refrigerator. The second time there was a room on the 1st floor, although not after repair, but also very good. The air conditioners work great.

Wonderful hospitality with friendly staff. Tasty food.Nice small pool. Stayed for one night in Upper Room which has a spectacular view from the room and bed. Very spacious room with a big bathroom. Highly recommend hotel!!!!!

Friendly Staff & Professional Service

We went to Red Lobster for a extended family outing that was organized as part of a b'day celebration and had the most wonderful time!  
The rooms were quite spacious and tastefully decorated. But what suited us most about the space was the common area on the top floor which was absolutely wonderful. There was plenty of seating and space for a small celebration. 
The cherry on top was the staff; Sanjeewa and his team are friendly, amenable and all in all, brilliant :)

Wonderful hospitality <3

It's a great villa, with the ocean within 10 minutes walk. Breakfast is big and full, with a fruit plate. The room is nice and clean. But on the first floor it smells of moisture, it's better to take the room higher. The staff is great, they ordered a transfer to the airport. Everyone speaks English. There are many shops and cafes within walking distance. Very convenient location of the villa.

It's a great villa.

Ages since I have stayed in Hikkaduwa but I was delighted to discover this excellent guest house.  The position close to the beach but up a quiet lane is perfect.  Both the owner and his staff are helpful and friendly.  The rooms and beds are comfortable and clean.  Great hot water.  Nice little swimming pool.  Fair prices.  Nothing not to like.
