Coconut Park

Coconut Park is a small 3 bedroom guesthouse which was just opened and run by 2 really nice guys.  The value of the place is great! The rooms are clean and the breakfast is delicious.  The location is also quite good, it is tucked away amongst beautiful rice fields and yet is  close enough to walk (or preferably cycle) to all of the main sites in Anuradhapura.  The owners went out of their way to make sure that our stay was a comfortable one.  Buddika hooked us up with a motorbike for a day and was easily able to arrange bicycles for us whenever we needed them.  I highly recommend checking out this place if you are on a budget and want a comfortable and lovely stay!  Thank you!

the place is localisated away from the city.
its a reall quiet place.you can listen the praises from temples. the sound, softly, give you peacefull vibration.
the krew is awesome and they are doing the best to make your time here nice and confy.
the food is a bit expensive.but its really good!
the room is correct. everything run perfect.

Great place, even better owner!

Coconut Park is in an idyllic spot and relatively close to the archaeological sites.  The manager was most helpful and did everything he could.  Unfortunately when we were there (July 2017) the building was being reconstructed.  We booked for 3 nights but only stayed for one because it was too hot for me without air-con. When the construction is finished it should be a great place to stay again.

Great location

We stayed here for 2 nights in 2 rooms and were pretty unimpressed by the accommodation, and we considered checking out on both nights but decided it wasn't worth the effort.

The location is good, especially for visiting the ancient city, but there were few positives beyond this. Due to the location, surrounded by fields, there was dirt everywhere, and when it rained it became very muddy. In addition, both rooms smelt like a bathroom, which didn't disappear over the few days.

The furniture is very basic, and the beds are fairly uncomfortable. At night the fan struggled to deal with the heat, and in addition if everyone turned their fans to full it tripped the electricity.

The owner was very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was nice enough. However, all of the water was chlorinated, so I'd steer clear of the tea and coffee as it tastes a bit funny.

We were pretty disappointed with this accommodation and with anarudhapura as a whole - if coming for the ancient city I would suggest just visiting for a single day, and looking for elsewhere to stay.

Good location but dirty and smelly accomodation

Awful! Even though the tuktuk driver already warned us that this place Is supposed to be horrible, we went there because we already booked the room. A room for 3.when we arrived, first of all the owner was kinda surprised that we wanted out room "already" (like 4pm...) and opened a chamber for us. It was clearly a room for two but he just pushed the two beds together and pretend to let it appear a triple room. And he first refused to give us some bicycles. Later on, when I was sitting outside by myself, reading my book, he came really really close to my chair and wouldn't want to stop talking to me. He molested me more and more and even touched my hip and my back. So to make a long Story short : don't go there. Not even if it might appear to be cheap and especially not if you're a girl.

Very dirty, plenty of moskitos and LOTS of spider's burrows on the bed.
Accommodation far away from anywhere. You are compelled to have dinner here if you don't have a car, and it's so expensive...
Bad treat from the staff, we felt very unconfortable. Sorry.
