Booked the 2 BR at the 1st floor but technically it’s located on the 2nd floor because you go up 2 plight of stairs. Wer 4 persons in this room that’s why it’s perfect for us, rooms are modest in size, with towels, linens and toiletries provided, kitchen is big as well as the living room, we have a balcony that you can peak at the outside streets. Going here is quite tasking because you have to check in at a different place to get your keys and walk  before you can go to you assigned unit. Stairs and tiny and steep, elevator is so small that only 1 person and 1 luggage can fit. What’s good with this place is it’s location near ramblas, cathedral, lots of shops, restaurants around. 

Good location

Very interesting experience!  Apartment was about 7 minutes walk from the check-in office - a bit of a challenge when dragging suitcases over cobblestoned streets.  Didn't find the apartment at first - front door very narrow!  Apartment was on the "first floor", but that was up 36 stairs in a very narrow staircase that wound around the elevator.  Elevator was about 24" square - could squeeze one person and a large suitcase in, but not for anyone with claustrophobia issues!  Apartment was spacious and modern - totally looked like the ones I see on "House Hunters International".  Had a washer/dryer but not very efficient at all - wound up taking still wet clothes out after running the dryer for 45 minutes and hanging them to air dry!  Must put a key in a slot to power up the lights - we discovered that when you remove it, all power disconnects.  So if you want to leave the air conditioning on or run the dishwasher while you are out, leave the key in!
Rules and regulation state that this is a residential neighborhood - no partying or making noise after 10.  Maybe there are other apartments on the upper floors, but I certainly wouldn't consider this "residential" and I don't think I could have possibly made more noise than the "nightlife" on the street outside!  Fortunately, the bedrooms are to the back of the apartment, away from the street, so it did not keep us awake.  But if we'd had someone sleeping in the living room on the sofa-bed, the noise and light would have been an issue.
There is a manual with some directions for using appliances, but it didn't help much.  Washer/dryer was bare minimum - basically the stuff I could figure out for myself.  Never did figure out how to use the oven (convection? microwave? combo?)  Detailed instructions for the TV remotes, except that neither remote matched up with either of the two TVs in the apartment.
Location was great - we didn't even realize how close we were to the Cathedral until our city tour ended there.  Our guide pointed us toward Las Ramblas, and within a minute, we realized we were outside our front door!  Las Ramblas is just a few minutes away in the opposite direction - tons of shops, cafes, gelaterias, etc.  We found a supermarket and bought food and water to keep in the fridge.  
And despite Portaferrissa's appearance of being pedestrian only, our hired car pulled right up to the front door to take us to the airport, so no more dragging suitcases down the street!

Typical European apartment

We were in the one bedroom with balcony. We chose because of location, washing machine and more space than a hotel. 
Pro's. Great location with something to do or see in every direction. Clean and uncluttered throughout. Plenty of towels and kitchen utensils. Lots of natural light and electric light for reading at all hours of the day. Manual to help with directions of appliances.
Cons. Both streets are pedestrian streets and not for someone with mobility issues. No detailed directions for the washer. Need to have exact change for taxes when checking in. Also need passport when checking in.  Small elevator. One person, one suitcase or two hugging people. 
After rush from airport, closed streets, and pedestrian walkway, taxi driver and I ran to check in.  And then taxi driver dropped us off and pointed toward the apartment. We found it and then all was right with the world.   This is not for people with walking or mobility issues.  But perfect size and gives you space in a very clean property.  All pictures are accurate. We hope we can return, but with a disease that will develop mobility issues, not sure if we can.

Best location in Barca - 5mins walk to Plaza Catalunya, 3mins to Las Ramblas, 1min to Cathedral.
Great facilities, comfy beds and easy check in.
Right in the hub of all the action, yet quiet one you close the balcony windows. Street view is great entertainment and you are surrounded by numerous cafes, bars and restaurants. Easy Metro access too.

Excellent location, stylish apartment.

Small. Filthy walls. Paper thin walls. You can hear everything outside and above the apartment.  Cheap price in a popular area.  Very inconvenient.  You have to lug your luggage to a completely different location to check in and get your key then continue on. The apartment was not terribly close to the office. 

You get what you pay for

The apartment is very comfortable and very well located.Equipped with everything necessary for a good stay.From there, a couple of blocks away we had the metro station and also the Plaza de Catalunya.Very recommended.

In the heart of Barcelona

Excellent!!! Impossibly better than this!

We stayed 5 nights, 4 adults. The apartment is spacious, basic, a single room, a living room with a sofa bed and a matromonial room, two bathrooms and living room where we can chat. The location is great, and a few steps from the best of the city, in the heart of the old city. There are all the appliances, including dishwashers, which is a privilege. Unfortunately, the house in winter is cold. From the photos there seems to be gas heating, but it doesn't work, and when you light the boiler made a scary noise. The only boiler is hot and it wasn't very efficient. The water isn't too hot and the bathrooms aren't too hot, so the old shower room is very safe.

They get lost in the details.

We booked an apartment for 4 people for two nights. The location is ideal 200 meters from Las Ramblas in a small street very close to the supermarket of the BOQUERIA where you can go shopping. Our apartment consisted of a bedroom, a large bathroom, a kitchen and a living room with a convertible sofa. The decoration is modern, there is a dryer, washing machine. However, there is not too much light because the apartment is in a small street. There is air conditioning for the store. The elevator is very small (maximum 2 adults with bags) The household was certainly done on a fast schedule I've seen this... but the worst match to the local kitchen, but it's not in a very good location.

It's a great apartment.

We stayed for 5 days in this facility: 3 adults and 1 4 year old child. Apartment with 2 bedrooms + sofa bed very spacious and well furnished in modern style. 2 bathrooms. Very clean. Free Wi-Fi. Final cleaning is included in the price. All amenities: air conditioning, washing machine, dishwasher, oven and microwave. Very central position. 200mt from Plaza Catalunya, 50mt from La Rambla, 150mt from the Cathedral. In the mattress of the Divano bed you can feel the springs. The cheap parking (10euro per day) is about 25 minutes walk away. Entrance from the living room is a little dirty. Elevator is very small. The evening sounds and other things, but you can stand apartments in this structure.
