This is a great hostel with clean spacious rooms. Good breakfast, kitchen and a lounge facilities. The reception staff were really really nice and knowledgeable. It was not expensive and it is really close to the centre and the alternative place.

No Hostel is perfect, but this one may be close. The staff were friendly and helpful in explaining the rules and helped us to quickly check in after a 13 hour train ride! 

We went to our room, a private twin room which was fantastic and although maybe a little hot for the day. Most of the time we were exploring Ljubljana. Would thoroughly recommend 

A fantastic hostel in a great location in Ljubljana. Staff at reception were very helpful and friendly even when we arrived after midnight! The room was basic but had everything we needed - the sink in the room was a nice addition. The communal bathrooms and showers were very clean and never very busy. All in all a brilliant hostel that is excellent value for money too!

Excellent location within walking distance to downtown and main train station. Free parking in a difficult-to-park area. Decent breakfast. Friendly student reception, overall 'Student camp atmosphere', refreshing. Excellent value for money. Excellent support on ongoing events, places to visit a.s.o. Shared bathroom facilities, but clean and situation manageable unless overly fussy.  

Great location. Really friendly & helpful reception. Kind of creepy as it’s actually a school in term time. Great facilities and quite clean. The breakfast was quite varied, and acceptable for the price. 
The biggest issue was the lack of air con. We stayed on the top floor so all the heat from the building rose up too. We slept with the windows wide open which meant we couldn’t close the blind as it was honestly stifling. However, Ljubljana was so quiet that we weren’t woken up by noise.

Very helpful

The hostel is located just 10 mins on foot from the bus and train station which is good. It’s also very close to the centre and to the riverside. I had a double room with 2 single beds and the room was ugly, the bed very old and the power socks is very uncomfortable positions. There is no hostel atmosphere whatsoever and the common lounge room was even unavailable. No activities are organised.  Also - cash only is unacceptable in my opinion in 2021!
The pro: breakfast included.

Good location, no hostel atmosphere

I stayed here with my dad one night while backpacking through East-Europe. This hostel is chep, so we didn’t expect much. Of course the buildings are old and especially toilets and showers were in bad condition, but there were many good sides: location is ok, there is really much parking space, rooms are private and pretty nice, wifi works, they have many kitchens for customers and reception is open 24/7. Rooms were clean and everything worked out well, we wouldn’t ask more this time.

Good as a cheap hostel

A cheap hostel, and it feels cheap. If you're looking for shelter in a good location, this is for you. If you're looking for even a mild level of comfort, stay clear. The bed is small and the mattress is paper thin. The pillow is almost non-existent. My room's light globe died a few minutes after arriving, but there was no spare room so they gave me a lamp (they fixed it a few hours later). The fly wire was broken, and with no aircon or fan, the room was a sauna. The towel is smaller than a bath mat. Payment is cash-only, which feels dodgy for such a big hostel.

Cheap, and it feels cheap.

Unlike other hostels the fridge and kitchen was quite messy. Noone labeled their food and there was one fridge despite three floors of rooms. There was no way to get air to circulate in the room so without any fans it got very hot at night. One redeeming aspect was the excellent breakfast.

Disappointing kitchen but great breakfast

The hostel is neat and tidy, in a nice spot. Nothing extraordinary, but not bad as well. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The promised breakfast as it says on this site as well was sadly NOT included, because they renovated the dining room. When we booked it still said breakfast included.
