Mira Business Hotel

This is not the nicest hotel in Riyadh or the most luxurious. However the staff are friendly the rooms are old and run down a little, but clean. When compared to the hotels close by Al Faisaliah Hotel Obaer is nearly the same for 1 week that this is per night. The Al Khozama hotel, the Obaer is cheaper and the rooms are 4 or 5 times bigger. Breakfast at the Obaer is a little boring with it being the same each day, but it's ok. The room service menu is not extensive, but covers 90% of the normal room service offerings and is good. Air Conditioning is the split type not central. Bathroom floods each time the shower is used. I booked the hotel for the location, close to where I was visiting. I was intending to use the Faisaliah Mall food court for meals, but the mall is basically closed for renovation. Due to the metro being built there is some construction noise, but this does not continue overnight and I stopped noticing it. The only issue with the hotel is to get anywhere is quite dangerous. Typical Saudi Health and Safety, to walk to the Faisaliah centre, you have to walk in a major road and cross it (no crossing), then down the other side of the major road. All exposed to vehicles doing 60-100kph. This is nothing to fault the hotel, just the issues currently with the construction of the metro.
