We booked all 20+ rooms for a destination wedding. Our dinner was at the Bussaco Palace Hotel which is 10 minutes away and our guests all stayed at Solar da Vacarica where we also had drinks and our after party. The rooms are all wonderful with comfortable beds and great, brand new bathrooms. The service was FANTASTIC. Anna was nothing but brilliant. Breakfast was delicious. We played tennis and swam in the huge pool and even played some soccer. There is a lot to do nearby. Caves Alianca has an incredible "Underground Museum" (Yes, it is underground!) and for 20 Euro's we tasted some of the most amazing Champagnes. The Palace of Bussaco is magical, there are great restaurants nearby (Suckling Pig is a speciality of the region and delicious) We loved it and can't wait to return.
