Surfing Inn Peniche - Hostel

me and my friend LOVED this place!!! surfing inn peniche is a wonderful cozy little house very close (only about a 5 min walk) to the most amazing beaches & WAVES most importantly! it's the perfect accommodation for someone who wants to learn surfing (or go for the 100th time...) and avoid these huge not very personal surf camps where every day is structured the same. here instead you have a lovely place that hosts max. 12 people (one sharing room with 6 beds and three double rooms), so you actually really get to know the people you're staying with and become quite close. we had so much fun together and it was really a wonderful holiday! the house is lovely - nice open kitchen, chill out / living room area with tv / dvd / guitar etc., 2 bathrooms and all spread across two floors. the house also has a wonderful big terrace - perfect for breakfast in the sun after an early morning surf or bbq in the evenings, or simply to hang out, read, top up your tan etc. filipe, the owner, is fantastic, and really made our stay! he is also the surf guru giving the lessons himself, which is wonderful as you truly get someone who knows his sh*** and is a qualified coach. different from the big surf camps, you go for the surf lesson when the waves are actually good. that might be a different time every day - so we went one day at 7 in the morning, the other at 5 in the afternoon, which was great! filipe stuffed us all into the van, surf boards on top of the car, and off we went, checking out different beaches (there are maaany around baleal / peniche). so we always had a spot that was good. ... and by the way also good to sometimes just hang out and sleep on the beach (after a long party night - of which we had several .-) i could go on and on raving about this place, you will have a wonderful time!
