Panoramic-Oscar

We had a fantastic stay here for a week in April. The hotel was really quiet as the season hadn't yet begun, so I think we may have gotten an upgrade. Our room was facing the lake, and we had two balconies. It was really spacious and bright. We were 2 adults and 2 kids, and the kids had 2 really comfortable beds one of which was a sofa bed, it had a blanket and duvet under the sheet so it made it even better for sleeping on. There was so much on our door step and the hotel hires cool berg go-karts and bikes, there's great playgrounds, cafe's, and it's a short pleasant walk into town. Breakfast was the same each day, good selection of continental items, but not really to our taste. Hot food was a little repetitive but the pancakes / apple fritters were good. Nice breads, only a very sweet apple juice, no orange juice. Selection of teas, 3 cereal options. Again it was off season and there were usually only 8 - 12 guests per night so they were not fully open. Staff were so nice. They provide an ironing and laundry service which was appreciated. The night porter should be promoted to 'front of house' in the restaurant or the bar, he was so pleasant and really a huge asset to the hotel. Just a really lovely person who made you happy every time you met him. Most of the staff don't speak English or just have a few words but use the free wifi on your phone for google translate if you have any trouble. One girl on reception, and the son of the owners had good English. I think all staff speak German well. Overall I'd highly recommend this comfortable hotel to anyone, the outdoor areas were being completely redecorated Apr 2014, so they will have a fantastic deck overlooking the lake where you can have food or a drink. The view from the restaurant was amazing and I believe the food there is also superb, although we didn't get to eat there as we were out sightseeing everyday.
