I have paid 8.5% extra exchange fees for payment by credit card. Never happened in all of Poland. I filed a complaint with Booking that this year should be excluded from the booking site. Booking must ensure the correctness of the proposed hotels. Booking customers must be adequately warned against incorrect exercises.

On the wide

Very clean room,balcony with beautiful view,perfect location,friendly staff.Peacefull enviroment,cosy restaurants behind the corner,easy to find easy to carry on.I have been to Elk many times and I just love it.

Beautiful and cosy.

The place is located right on the lake in Elk. The staff is very friendly and speaks proper English. Rooms are spacious, with a comfortable bed. The breakfast is quite simple but good. Overall  a place where i would come back to.

great location, comfortable room

There are only children's plates there, so it's best to plan a visit to McDonald's afterwards. It's too expensive for the small portions. Plus, you're only served by unskilled staff, which is probably the long wait time. I also know that you want to eat together as a group. We got the food one after the other. When the last one got his meal, the first one was already ready. At least the food was tasty. At least in the kitchen there was effort. Just the portions you should be thinking about.

Visiting a restaurant

In short: long waiting times for average food. Many dishes on the menu were unavailable. The staff barely spoke English. The chicken was dominated by eggs. It was loud in the restaurant. Our tip and the request to take back the chicken was ignored by the staff.

The suite was ok nothing special nothing particularly bad except for the cleaning which wasn't up to my standards. Staff very friendly , the restaurant pub offers good food but there could be too much noise late at night! 

Large suite but not very clean 

The decor is very nice. Beer is a little overpriced. We went for a selection of starters. 2 out of 4 were OK, namely the chicken wings and the plums wrapped in bacon. However: the other 2 were awful, possibly the worst we've ever had anywhere. The placki were mainly flour - possibly made from a packet mix; there was very little potato taste to them at all. The prawns in tomato sauce were even worse! Tinned tomatoes for certain and enough salt to melt the icy path outside! Now for the service: very poor and very inattentive despite the fact that the place was not busy. On collection of our finished meal there was no enquiry as to the satisfaction of the dishes - merely "anything else?" God no! Give us the bill! We left promptly upon paying our bill with no further expressions of gratitude. The one out of 5 mark is generous to be honest. Won't be going there again.

Must have been an off night?

Went there a couple of times, every time my expectations were met, food prepared fast, good and big portions, not expensive, professional and friendly staff, understandable for small children needs. It is also situated in front of the lake, very nice, relaxing view

Friendly staff and good food

Spacious and clean rooms, lake view, large and well-maintained bathroom. Lake view, precious lake, we chose it as the only free structure at that time to break a long drive. Elk is pretty, a little small, nothing that you can't find on our lakes, but the long lake is very nice. Breakfast is a little miserable, but it's correct for the fee (30€ per double room).

Good points: Staff welcoming Very nice view of Lake Elk Good location in Ełk (tourist office 5 minutes and lake on foot) Bad points: Room under construction? Poor finish of paintings, apparent electrical wires, badly made shower joints. Black mark on the sheets. No blinds (but it seems to be a fashion in Poland) and very transparent curtains.
