Winbelle Pension Haus

I spent three delightful overnights at this property in early December.  It was comfortable and quieter than I expected for a downtown location.

The staff was accommodation and the quarters more than adequate.  I chose the suite room.  Hot water, AIRCON and Wi-Fi all worked.  The last needed some encouragement.

Restaurants and opportunities for self catering are nearby.  This property represents good value for money.  I will stay here again and heartily recommend this property to others.

I reviewed the property earlier but Trip Advisor somehow misplaced it.

My husband and I stayed in this pension house for 3 days upon recommendation of our friends from Silay City. The inn is located on the second floor of a building along the main road (Rizal St.), therefore it is very accessible to the airport, restaurants, banks, the market, and even the tourist sites.

The place is quite new so everything smells fresh and clean including the bedsheets and towels. Each room has its own aircon, bathroom, and a mini breakfast table with two chairs where one can comfortably have coffee or your meals which you can easily purchase around the area, or if you do not want to go out, instant noodles and coffee is made available to the guests. All the staff we encountered were nice and accommodating. The P700 price for its standard room is quite reasonable, I would say we had a pleasant stay in this pension house.

FORGOTTEN REVIEWER

A very comfortable stay

Iloilo Airport was temporarily closed last weekend so I had to reroute to Bacolod. I got the 6.20 AM flight. I searched for cheap rooms near the airport, and found Winbelle.

I called Winbelle while waiting to board 2Go Supercat in Iloilo River Wharf. I was informed that there are a lot of available standard rooms. I was also advised to go to the North Terminal to board Ceres bus liner, then have the bus driver drop me in Mercury Drug. Winbelle Pension House is just across it. Upon reaching Bacolod Port, it was still raining. I decided to just ride the airport shuttle van from SM Bacolod, then from the airport, ride a tricycle going to Winbelle. It worked, but I think riding the Ceres Bus Liner is cheaper.

The standard room was small, but there's a bathroom, so that's a plus for me. At P700/night, I think it was a steal. There's a single bed, tv, aircon, and a dining table. Initially, I thought about camping out in the airport, but the rest room does not have enough water pressure. It was a good decision that I went ahead and booked Winbelle.

Cheap for an aircon room

I hadn't made a reservation but luckily these guys had a spare double. I felt it was reasonably priced, at 700 pesos. 

The room is basic, with air con and TV. No breakfast served. But the yummy El Ideal bakery is less than 10 minutes' walk. 

Unfortunately the shower never managed to get hot, which was a shame. 

Staff are very pleasant. Good location for a stopover on the way to Bacalod. 

Mostly a Winbelle winner

The room that we had is too small for its price. My colleague and I intended to have a room with two separate beds but they can't offer one. So we ended up getting one of the bed's foam placed on the floor when we slept. WIFI signal is poor to nil. 

The shower with water heater didn't have a knob and they don't have free shampoo. 

We booked another place in Silay the next day and got a room which was bigger with 2 beds and cheaper.
