Comfort Inn Coast Watchers

We spent a few days here assisting in a local emergency response competition. The staff were great, pools perfect! And we had over the water rooms which were great, although the occasional wave washing over the balcony was interesting. Would stay here again!

New general manager very approachable and making it a very sociable place. Although sole traveller the gm goes out of his way to introduce to other sole travellors. Menu is changing and the wonderfully friendly staff is serving a little faster. This is becoming the place to keep an eye on. I'm enjoying exploring the world,even though I've started a little late and love travelling alone. Although not a ba kpackers very sociable

Spent over two weeks here and can say that they are consistent. The food is decent, the facilities are clean and maintained.
The manager is the bonus. He will help if you are new to town, he will chat with you over a coffee or a beer, he will ask you if you are comfortable and go beyond the regular call of duty to make you comfortable not only at Coast watchers but also in Madang.
Would recommend the place to any business traveller.

Oasis on the coast

If you're looking for decent rooms with an affordable price and a spectacular view of the ocean in Madang, the Coastwatchers Hotel is great! The premium rooms go for around K450.00 a night and include a two-storey room with a king size bed and bathroom located upstairs, and a single bed and kitchen facilities downstairs. The staff are extremely welcoming and they have an awesome Sunday night Roast, lamb, pork, beef, chicken with sides of roast vegetables. And at night, the Kalibobo lighthouse lights up and illuminated the evening!

Size room is ok, very basic lighting, no small  light at bed, bathroom sink almost no draining, stuff got locked up in safe deposit box because of dead batteries, too expensive for what you get, beter to take a lodge or guesthouse. Location at coastwatchers monument = good

Too expensive, lacking services, dirty town full of plastics, looks a bit run down also...
