We stayed from Friday until Sunday during the busy Winter holiday season. Arrival and check in was after 4pm. However we turned up at 12pm and received a warm welcome and was able to check in straight away. The room 306 is on the 3rd floor with view to the mountains. It’s the end of the corridor so quiet. It seemed newly refurbished with new furniture and wooden floors. Everything was spotless. The bathroom had toiletries and a hairdryer. We had room service, with beds made and toiletries etc replaced. The breakfast had a a decent selection, European standard. All we wanted - but missing sweet pastries, pancakes or the Norwegian waffle. The hotel has a retro 80’s maybe 90’s feel about it, with a few updates here and there. But it’s the staff that makes the place. It has all the comforts needed and value for money taken into account, this is a hotel we will recommend to friends and family - as well as staying again. + Really comfortable beds. + Convenient location. + Welcoming, friendly and helpful staff. - Hallway could need some decent hoovering. - The mattress lacked bed linen. Only the mattress topper had bedsheets. Perhaps due to new beds? Also, only one pillow. Perhaps worth asking the receptionist to get an additional sent up. - Only one electrical socket, for the tv and a lamp. Another one under the bed. So not convenient when charging the phones etc. Also, only one bedside lamp.
