Peter and Linda were wonderful hosts who made us feel right at home.  Quiet neighbourhood, excellent purpose built B&B with comfortable bed and excellent breakfast.  We enjoyed our three nights and couldn’t have been happier.  Thank you.

This is a quiet / tranquil lodging recommended for couples or families. Stayed at peak season - between Xmas / New Year’s 2015.  

Home stay was easy to find and a few minutes’ walk from the beach / lagoon and perhaps a 30 minute walk to the main street for restaurants. Note that there is a limited choice of restaurants in Whangamata and in the peak season things fill up pretty quickly.

Room was en-suite clean and tidy with all the usual items, the common area (Peter and Linda’s living room) had sofas and seating areas for you to peruse the tourist information (incl. maps) they had at hand.

Breakfasts were excellent – my favourite part being the prunes, thank you! The hosts were very respectful, accommodating, friendly and knowledgeable.

Peter and Linda were the best of hosts - interesting people who are interested in others. It's a charming b&b very close to a superb beach and beautiful river (both ideal for swimming) and about 20 minutes walk from town with restaurants and bars. Breakfast set us up for the day and for those who like a communal table there was plenty of chat. Highly recommended.

Kotuku Beach Bed and Breakfast Coromandel is a home stay about 2 kilometres from the city centre of Whangamata, and 600 meters from the beachfront. The owner built the place to have it as a bed and breakfast, which mean our room had shower and toilet in the room.

Clean and comfortable. Lovely bed. However, a lot stuff everywhere made the place feel a little bit messy, nut also very welcoming and like visiting a friend.

Free and fast WiFi. Lovely friendly host and a very welcoming atmosphere.

Breakfast was great. A choice of eggs, yoghurt, bread, fruits, etc. Good quality. All guests eat around the same table.

We stayed in the beginning of January which probably explains why it was rather expensive, about 100€ per night. I can really recommend this B&B!

We stayed here for two nights during our recent tour of New Zealand & Australia.  Peter was a wonderful host; very welcoming and the provider of an excellent English breakfast . .!
The house is well appointed away from the main centre of the town and near the river and the garden is pretty and secluded.  There is a delightful walk down the road opposite to the river and along the bank to the sea.  The sight and sound of the Tui birds was fascinating. 
The ensuite room we had was well furnished with a comfortable bed.  It was an ideal location for exploring the Coromandel Peninsula.  There are also one or two adequate restaurants in the town.  We would certainly recommend this B&B.
