Fletcher Hotel Amsterdam

As you might know parking your car in Amsterdam or in The Netherlands in general is really expensive. The Fletcher hotel is convenient located, near the motorway, has sufficient parking at fixed fee of Euro 15/day, both covered and open and electrical vehicles can be charged. The hotel is also walking distance from the train and metro station, it took us 15min walk. Metro takes you straight into Amsterdam Central Station, its about a 15-20minutes ride. Nowadays you can use your bankcard for paying the train/metro fees, it is really convenient. Because you are joining the track at one of the early stations most of the time seats are available. Upon your return from town, board at Waterloo plein or Central Station, go on the yellow line direction Gein, exit the metro at Holendrecht. Staff at the hotel very friendly upon checkin and upon our checkin Dutch English and French was spoken. The hotel is quiet even knowing it is close to the main road, no cars can be heard at all. The building is shielded by a glass exoskeleton. Rooms are futuristic, we found it very nice with the transparent shower in the middle of the room. Yes agree if you would be twin sharing (does this still happen) with your colleague, this would not be the most convenient. Rooms were clean, bed and pillows comfortable for us, it was a perfect stay. We had breakfast in the morning on the 18th floor which was good. There is a Jumbo supermarket walking distance from the hotel, fast food restaurants across the road, and a zillion restaurants to choose from in Amsterdam city centre. Sorry to hear that the hotel only arranged 5 balloons. I would praise them for the extra effort they made.
