We loved discovering the unique places in this Kasbah and also the village below with its little oasis. It was pure comfort- almost luxury while still amidst village life . We had a memorable dinner on the terrace listening to goats and watching the sun shine on the mountains across the valley. We stayed talking until after dark and even laid down on the terrace and looked up at the stars, Amazing!    The host is a very kind and thoughtful man. Thankyou Lahoucine !

Mes amis et moi avons fait escale dans cette Kasbah fin Juillet 2018 au cours d'un road-trip dans le sud du Maroc. Ce fut sans doute l'expérience la plus authentique de nos vacances. Une Kasbah nichée au coeur de Telouet, une vie à couper le souffle, e bercement des appels à la prière. Et surtout, quel hôte: généreux, le coeur sur la main, une cuisine locale. Les quatre chambres de la Kasbah sont spacieuses, les louer permet à son propriétaire de restaurer cette maison traditionnelle centenaire héritée de ses ancêtres.

My friends and I were doing a road-trip when we stopped in this traditional Kasbah for a night, in the heart of Telouet. It was for sur the most authentic stay we had in Morocco. Breathtaking view, large rooms with en-suite bathrooms whose renting allows its owner to renovate the house he inherited. About the host, what a generous man! Thank you very much for the warm welcome you offered to us, thanks to the cooker for the traditional moroccan dish we could eat for dinner and for the perfect breakfast we had on the rooftop facing the desert.

Our stay in Anguelz was a highlight of our trip to Morocco. Spent one night en route from Ouarzazate to Marrakech. Great food, incredible sunset, clean and welcoming. The perfect break from city life!

Anguelz, a remote berber village in the High Atlas in a beautiful valley surrounded by the mountains.  Where even today most of the people still live a very simple and traditional life, donkeys for transport, small fields for growing their own food, a cow in the courtyard for fresh daily milk, hot summers and harsh winters, mud-built houses that give shelter and protection. Here, in this small berber village,  Lahoucine has restored his grandfathers 100 year old Kasbah, and turned it into one of the most authentic guesthouses I have ever seen in Morocco. Definitely a place to stay for a few days, and discover an authentic part of Morocco, warmly hosted by Lahoucine and his family.

This was our first night of a week road trip across southern Morocco. The service couldn't be a bigger contrast to the hustle of Marrakech - gentle, understated but just what you need. Guests need to remember that this is b&b in a remote village not a hotel - so be pleased with a hot shower, not disappointed by a lack of power shower!

We arrived at the Kasbah from Marrakech, two days into our trip to Morocco. The village is very isolated, surrounded by mountains, where people live very simply. There is a beautiful oasis where everyone has their gardens, just a short walk from the Kasbah. We stayed two nights in July and it was too hot to walk, but I think that is what people usually do in that area in spring and summer.
We were still adjusting to the change in culture, and worrying about what the kids could do to keep occupied during the day.
But our host Lahoucine made the whole stay memorable. We arrived in the afternoon and he served us tea and some snacks for the kids as we hadn't eaten lunch. We rested, the kids watched movies and then we went for a walk in the evening. We were served a fantastic dinner that night, followed by a delicious breakfast in the morning. Out host took us to the weekly souk at Telouet, which was scary at first, but then no one really paid us any attention (very different from Marrakech) so we relaxed and bought some olives and nuts and just took in the sights. Lahoucine also took us to the Kasbah of Telouet. We were the only visitors and it was amazing. On the way back we stopped off at the salt mine. Another great dinner that night.
The rooms are tastefully decorated, the bathrooms simple, but no problem for us. There are fans in the rooms. The Kasbah is a work in progress for Lahoucine who is restoring it. Looking back on our two week stay in Morocco, Lahoucine was one of the most welcoming and genuine hosts we encountered.

The food was delicious and the place was really well taken care and decorated.
The rooms a bit cool but there was an electric heater and after a couple of hours the rooms where a bit warmer.
Totally recommended!

Very simple and clean B&B in the middle of nowhere. 

If you want to experience living like a Moroccan this is the perfect place, altough accessibilities with big bags is not easy. 

We’ve walked around the village and valley with our kids and they loved it! For them it was an adventure. 

Lahoucine was very helpfull and kind to us.
