The hotel is good up there, it has several shortcomings that can be fixed. The TV in the room is small and uncontrollable so you have to get up and turn it off. The floor that is in common areas in the yard is too slippery, has a black layer of mud that makes it super dangerous. The hot water from the shower takes MS of 10 minutes to get out and the door that has no lid enough to cover the bathroom too much. The curtains have holes that do not affect but damage the hotel's image. Large rooms, bed well.

Deficiencies that can be corrected.

Stayed at the Hotel Montroi Fitness last month (early January 2016).  Had a significant issue where the manager had to be involved. He handled the situation very well and I am confident with actions I immediately saw, that he is taking the steps to make sure that type of issue doesn't repeat.

Rooms are big and clean.  Not extremely luxurious, but for the price the hotel is a good value. I do have to admit, staff needs to be trained better to answer common customer questions and respond not only in a friendly way, but also be more pro-active about concerns.

I will stay there again

Tough Situtation, Resolved Professionally

The hotel is small but the room is large.On arrival they didn't have our reservation and gave us a different room than the one we had bought for Expedía.The balconies have a nice zero view.When we arrived and wanted to wash our hands, there was no water and we had to wait a little over an hour.The floor was dirty, in the bathroom there was a cockroach.I wouldn't come back.

It's very dirty.

This hotel is ok, but they sis not honor my reservation, the receptionist told me they had oversold it "big time". Then they suggested I could stay with their new sister hotel Montroi Express. It seems to me they are over selling this one to just get customers for their new, more basic hotel. This is not acceptable, I was in a hurry and wasted a lot of time to find the other hotel, which was not of the level I wanted but lower although cheaper.

They did not honor my reservation

Yesterday I decided to go out for a weekend with my family and choose to stay at this hotel after more than a year of not doing so as I was a regular guest for work reasons.I must say that I had an unpleasant surprise to see that the room in which I stayed the wood was splintered and falling to pieces, the bathroom furniture stained by the weather, the tile of the pool untied from the bottom, weed on the runway, damaged garden ceilings, the garden lights in my room were not working, at the time of requesting the bill, the staff did not know how to issue it, and the cooker did not show up to work, thus getting the staff out of the hotel, and the restaurant was very pleased with the lack of service that the hotel had to offer to all the problems of the city.

An excellent hotel in decay.

We stayed here for 5 nights while we were in Colima for a wedding. We were very surprised by the size of the rooms. They are huge and have everything. We were on the ground floor with a terrace and a large bathroom. Our friend was on the second floor with a huge balcony and a bathroom as large as the room itself. The price was fine and if you consider that you can also use all the services of the fitness club (tennis, pool, gym...) it is a real bargain. We couldn't do it because of the wedding. The only problem with the gym could be that in the morning from 8 am (on Mondays not on weekends) you would get a lot of the music from the gymnasium. In addition, the receptions started at 7 am and the bar was dispersed on the radio while we were working, listening to the music from the Mexican gymnasium.

It has everything, including music.

We were on the ground floor with terrace and a big bathroom. Our friend was on the second floor with a huge balcony and equally big bathroom and room itself. 

The price was right and if taken in consideration that one can also use all the amenities of the fitness club (tennis, pool, gym,...) it's a real bargain. We didn't get to do so due to the wedding. The only problem with the gym might be, that in the morning from up 8am (on Monday not on the weekend) they turned up the music for the gym quite loud. 
In addition, the maids were starting at around 7am and turned up the radio while working with typical Mexican mariachi music. And if there was no music, they would chat - alot - right in front of our door as it seems. Quite annoying. And considering room cleanliness, they should work more than talk...
We complaint at reception (we needed our sleep after coming home late) and the next day it was ok. I guess it's recommended to tell them beforehand if sleeping in is required!!!

The area has parking off of the street, a bar, a restaurant a pool etc. Very nicely done and close to the city. All in all a very good place to stay!

has it all, including music

It has all the amenities, large rooms with beautifully decorated, we went to the tapalpa and it was the one that had the best location although it was not easy to locate it, there is no sign on the road indicating where to go out. Colima is very wet and that feels in the room when you arrive, but already with the refrigeration on it becomes very pleasant. You can play tennis and you can use the facilities of the gym that is next door. It also has internet service.

I like the hotel.

Stayed for 2 nights.Comfortable, clean rooms. Staff was very helpful. Will definitely stay here again.
