A place to relax after seeing the culture and roots of Mexico as well as the commemoration of the 490 years of the founding of the city of San Cristóbal de las Casas, comfortable beds, and the hotel's layout is basic because by its location at night you can rest as vehicle traffic is minimal to zero and people alike, there is a restaurant and spacious hallways and a nice room on the 2nd floor as well as a small gymnasium without cost, with all the basic services and free WiFi, with a sign, the only detail that the parking lot is a square but well guarded by cameras and you can leave the vehicle in front of the hotel at night, definitely, recommendable and that where the parking lot is located will be complete by the suites of San Miguel de Felicitas.

A good rest, after seeing our Roots.

The Hotel has a godd location in near the historc center and the staff is nice and helpful.
But there is no heatin in the hotel, not in the hall, wich is open nor the rooms. We found that with night temperatures of single digits, this is not acceptable. An extra blanket does not make up,for having to get dressed at 13 degrees C.
And the breakfast is almost nonexistent. We had to gomout to get a decent one.
I will ad a picture of very creative and dangerous wiring in the room.

Unheated rooms

We parked our car in front of the hotel and at night they broke the co-pilot's glass and stole what we had inside. Despite the hotel's cameras, the police could not do much more than leave a record of the theft. The hotel staff who hosted us that morning were very kind, facilitating the process before the police and allowing us to use their services.

With caution.

We arrived at the hotel at 5 pm and ordered a room on the first floor, we paid 450mx when in others there were 350mx and the service and cleaning were excellent. The receptionist asked us if we wanted to use the hot water.... he told us that we should ask for the boiler to heat the water 20 minutes earlier, whenever we wanted to use it. Then we entered the room and it looked neglected and the bed was very dirty. When I washed the face and used the towel it was full of cables, as well as the wall of the towel and the floor.

There is no water supply, but the worst reception.

This hotel is nothing special, but we enjoyed our stay there.  The staff is very friendly (although they don't speak English and are not empowered to do much.)  The amenities are simple, but the bed was comfortable, we got clean towels daily, the bedding was changed twice during our 9 night stay, and again...the staff was friendly and helpful when possible.  The location allowed us to pop back and change our clothes when necessary (due to the wide spread of temperatures during a day/evening in SC delas C.

We arrived at this hotel for an emergency, as having another hotel left us without a room... The service and attention, one hundred percent recommended. Without a doubt, if I ever returned to San Cristóbal de las Casas, I would stay at the Hotel San Miguel again. Very renovated facilities, very comfortable rooms, you can enjoy a pleasant privacy.Affordable prices and the treatment of the hotel's employees very warm and friendly.

Excellent service.

Nice, nice and you can rest. The prices are comfortable. The problem is the parking charge is 50 pesos every 12 hours and it is two or three blocks from the hotel. It is not very safe to leave it. Recommendation. If they drive they arrive very early to park in front of the hotel and do not pay parking.

Very good hotel.

I've been paying a lot of prices just for a remodeling, but if it makes me a little expensive for what you have to offer, you can find hotels with better amenities closer to the center and for a lower price.

It is comfortable.

No Hot water - at all. they told us to keep it running for 10mins before it came on. It didn't
No Air con -  Rooms were hot and stuffy. 
No one speaks English - feigns understanding our spanish
No manager
No sleep  - loud construction in the room next door / Beds uncomfortable.
No change  - we had to go out in the middle of the night to visit a convenience stall
No charm - very simple, tasteless hotel 

Don't waste your time, this has been the worse place we stayed.

The hotel is very inexpensive. The rooms are simple but clean and light. The furniture is a bit cramped. It is a 7-minute walk from the ADO bus station and the collectivos, which is very convenient for traveling to both Sumadero Canyon and the following cities along the route. The staff is responsive, settling in earlier than the established time when there are free rooms.
