Best property ever! The staff is very accommodating and friendly!

Wait Staff excellent. Very friendly! Stone surface around the pool not the best.  Slippery and hard on the feet in general.  Overall, the Torres is wonderful!

Friendly . Reasonable rates on restaurant

Yes! Yes! Yes!  More than 20 years ago we became owners of Vacation International timeshares. We haven’t regretted it for a minute. One of the main reasons is this property in Mazatlan. We absolutely love it and return there as often as we can. I think we’ve been there at least 8 times and have used everything from a single room for ourselves as a couple, to the massive penthouse suite for family and friends. The service is remarkable for its friendliness and ability to anticipate our every need. The restaurant offers a great variety of delicious meals and snacks, and the palapa bar has a thirst quencher available for every taste. The activities coordinator has something for everyone including Bingo, water aerobics, arts and crafts, and more. We love the comfort that great weather, beautiful views, and five-star service provides. And did I mention the awesome palapas and furniture on the shore overlooking the beach. Can’t wait to get back there in December 2025.

Room was very comfortable, staff were very friendly and courteous.  Jacuzzis were not warm enough and there was construction on one of the elevators adjacent to our room wall and the noise lasted from 9am-5p one day.  The construction shook the wall so much a painting fell from the wall and the glass shattered.  The hotel was efficient and cleaned it up right after we reported it.  2 of the 3 tv's did not get CNN & Fox News.  A technician arrived shortly after we reported it and it was resolved quickly.  Overall, we still rate our stay as Excellent and looking forward to our next visit.

This place is the perfect size for a resort.  It isn't gigantic and crowded.  You are right on the beach, and it is family friendly.  Great grounds, good food and friendly staff.

Torres is the BEST! They greet you with ‘Welcome Home!’ And it’s true. Torres feels like home. I’ve been coming every Thanksgiving for over a decade and can’t imagine staying anywhere else. My friend have been coming for over 30 years and are owners. Only thing is can suggest is to put a large sign on the small hot tub that states it isn’t for kids under 12. Nothing worse than relaxing at the end of the evening and having kids come in (supervised or not) splashing around and making all kinds of noise.

Better than being at home!

Another Great Experience

This is my third year at Torres. This resort is picturesque with its beauty and charming features. The people that work there treat you like family and do what it takes to make your vacation perfection. They called me several times just to ask if we needed anything and to be sure we were having a fantastic time. Mazatlan is my favorite place in Mexico. There are so many fun things to explore and the food is impeccable. I will be back to Torres for a fourth time!

Unfortunately, my husband broke his leg in the ocean while staying here.  The staff's response immediately and in the week following was fantastic, I'm so impressed.  They called a doctor who handled all the hospital things, including surgery.  The staff checked in on us, gave us a wheelchair to use while staying and even coordinated a special 'low mobility' city tour for us so we could still see a bit of the city.Injury aside, the resort is small and comfortable.  It wasn't too busy while we were there (in early Oct), we were always able to get drinks by the pool or a table for a meal.  The 'ocean side' seafood place was DELICIOUS. I could have eaten there daily.  We were able to get pizza from a nearby place one night and also walked to a sports bar for a change of venue/food.  There is a pharmacy w/in walking distance as well.My only (small) issue was with the room itself - the AC was temperamental and had to be fixed, and during a rain storm TWO of the windows leaked and left massive puddles on the floor in two rooms. The resort did come help clean it up and fixed 2 of 3 things the next day, but it wasn't ideal to be up in the middle of the night trying to figure out where the water was pouring in from.  If you have a choice, Building A is waterfront with beautiful views.

A grand place!  Easy access. Well maintained. Clean.  Air conditioner worked great. Units well stocked for simple cooking.  Easy trip to the Malecon and downtown.
The pool was great.
Activities staff very helpful.  Hotel staff most attentive.
The restaurant and bar was spot on. There is a food service that will pre stock your room. 
Taxis are right at the gate or within a few minutes.
One highlight was the small palapa used for painting wooden or ceramic bowls, plates and more-do this!

Torres Mazatlan resort

First time staying at this resort. This resort was amazing. If you are traveling with a family, I strongly recommend this resort. This resort is located north of the malecon. The resort is not big, so therefore it’s not crowed and the beach is not crowed. If you go to Mazatlan to relax and be away from a lot of people and ghetto people, this is the resort for you and the family to stay. Food is very very good so no need to leave resort. Strongly advise to use Uber if you need transportation. Lastly, every room and living room is equipped with its own a/c controller. So if you have family members that are picky about the room been to cold, you have separate a/c controllers.

First trip to Mexico since 1985, which was also when I first visited this Vacation International resort.  I knew Mazatlan and Mexico in general were in the midst of big changes and a building boom.  The room was pristine and I believe most of the rooms have a view of the ocean.  The restaurant on site served well prepared meals at very reasonable prices.  One example on BBQ night, the filet mignon was $20 (350 pesos) and excellent!  There are 2 happy hours every day.  Staff were attentive, accommodating and friendly.  We never felt at a disadvantage.  Area was quiet compared to the noisy downtown hub bub.  The "green" bus stopped within a block of the entrance and a trip downtown was 17 pesos, roughly a dollar.   If in a hurry, the same trip was roughly $11 (200 pesos) by taxi.  The resort had many activities, was well managed and employees were cheerful.  In my experience, cheerful staff are a metric of being respected and well treated by their employer.  That translates to staff that respect their customers.  I always bring $2 bills for tip money - which connotes our special effort  to show  appreciation for their gracious and attentive service.  Truthfully, one $2 bill no longer gets the attention that it used to, but 2 of them do the job much better than 4 $1 bills!  Only problem might be getting a reservation.  We met several VI members who were quite surprised that the resort had an opening for non members!

Our First and Only Impression Was - WOW!  Far Exceeded Every Expectation !

The restaurant staff were topnotch. The manager and check in not so much. We had one simple request  not the first floor as that is more suspectable to bugs. Front desk assured us since there were no other options available that they would do an extra close inspection. At 4:15 pm when the room was ready we walked in and within 20 seconds a huge cockroach scampered by. I took a picture and brought it to the front desk. The manager said well we are a tropical destination. That should be expected. 28 years coming to Mazatlan, this was the second cockroach we have seen. The first was in Torres as well. They moved us to a higher floor which was not available before. I guess I do not believe they told the truth to begin with. Later that night they sprayed what maintenance called diesel fuel throughout the entire property causing a white stinky cloud that lasted 20 minutes. I really hate to complain as so much of our stay was enjoyable. I just think they were not honest as the hotel seemed only half full  In the future it would have been much better just to put us off the ground floor. Just a suggestion.

Great experience.  My friend is an "owner" and I traveled here with 3 other girlfriends for 5 days. Everything everyone has said in their reviews about the superb service is true. The staff is so welcoming, everyone at the restaurant and bar is attentive.  Ruda was a great owner host and our rooms were clean.  We dined her several times and enjoyed daily visits to the pool.  I'd definitely go back and recommend it to others. We also felt safe on property.  The only reason I rated location less than 5 stars is because it seems farther than maybe some of the other resorts, but I could be mistaken.
