Summer Island Maldives Hotel

Just returned from my 3rd visit to this island , and it was probably the best visit yet. It's a very tiny island and you can walk the whole island in less than 15 minutes. I arrived by speedboat, and you don't need any shoes on until you depart the island, it really is a barefoot paradise. Staff are waiting for you on the jetty, and also when you depart, which is a lovely touch although quite emotional. I stayed at the superior vista room on sunrise side which was huge, with outdoor bathroom and large balcony, spent many an evening just chilling under the stars. Staff are all brilliant and friendly, the food was always varied, and lots of choice . The sea is just quite out this world, absolutely stunning and warm. I spent at least half of the days just swimming or chilling on my flamingo, really was perfect. I travelled solo, and this visit there quite a few single travellers, so if your put off because your not in a couple definitely don't be, I travel a lot and it's probably one of the easiest places I've travelled to on my own. I did get bit to death this visit so pack bite cream just in case. July is monsoon season but we had rain only 1 evening, everyday of my week there was absolutely boiling and sunny, even at 5 in the morning, it was already 30. Managed to catch a few sunrises, and sunsets at the Nevi Bar which were just perfect. Watch out for the heron, he is always around for the sunsets too. In the evening make sure you walk along the jetty after dinner part of the sea is lit up, and you see a lot of huge fish.
