My first stay in Lux and it was perfect. Very nice and helpful staff. Room was freshly redecorated, with all the necessary facilities.
And the dining was the best. Totally recommend moules a la creme - best I ever had!

Perfect and cosy

Let me split this into pros and cons for ease...

PROS
- Decent location, 15 mins from the centre, bus stops right outside the door. And remember all public transport is free in Luxembourg!
- Downstairs restaurant looks decent
- Nice staff
- Lovely breakfast - quite simple but tasty; croissants, fresh bread, fruit, juice, cereal, good coffee 
- Room small but adequate
- Great double glazing!
- Quiet area
- Aircon

CONS
- Plug sockets didn't work in the bedroom...only in the bathroom, which felt a bit unsafe!
- Wifi not great
- Room was a bit dated
- Downstairs reception area had a bit of a bad smell when we arrived
- No shops in local area so bring any snacks etc that you need!
- Shower enclosure is tight

Overall it's not a bad option, but definitely needs some improvements.

OK for a 1 night stay

I chose this hotel purely because of its location close to a venue where I had an evening meeting.  Having been travelling since 03:45, I was astonished to find that I couldn't check in at 13:30.  Fortunately much banging and ringing of door bells woke someone up.

My room was very cramped - it was impossible to sit at the desk as the bed(s) were so close to it.  I'd been told that I'd have a double bed, but there were 2 singles pushed together.  The WLAN did at least work, but having to sign out a TV remote was rather a novelty...not that I bothered to watch any TV.  The bathroom was rather shabby and didn't even have a sink plug.  Breakfast was rather meagre, but service was very friendly.

Rather cramped with strange check-in times

Nice location and high expectation but unfortunately the food was not good. I ordered spaghetti with clams and bottarga. The sauce was just made of flour and almost all the clams were empty and not clean. The price was not right at all for what they offered and when we had to pay, the waiter wanted to decide how we had to split the money in our group, watching directly in our wallets. (not their business how I wanted to pay)

Expectation not fulfilled at all.

Don't expect to sleep later than 06h0o AM when planes start to fly just above the hotel.
Otherwise, good value for money and breakfast.  Clean room and hotel/restaurant well located for an early flight.

Good for short night before flying

Wierd strong smell of incense, or maybe overuse og sented candles in the hallways.. Room apered to be dirty, the wals has not seen paint om years.. bed altso looked used/sat on, didnt use shower because everything felt dirty.. in the middle of the night I was considering to go sleep inn the car.
