the campsite is vey green with lots of trees. there is a beach and its possible to swim in the river. the facilities are simple, but clean. there is a small communal kitchen.
good for people who dont like large "perfect" campgrounds.

Probably the best camping place in Sigulda and surroundings. The place is located on the bank of the river Gauja next to the Sigulda's beach which is a great place for swimming as there is a lifeboat station. Beautiful and very convenient transit point if You are travelling round the Baltic state. Camping is located nearby the city of Sigulda (about 1km), so You always have a possibility to buy some food during Your stay. 

There are all necessary facilities You may need in camping – electricity, WC, shower, cooker, washing  machine, barbecue, wifi. 

There are a lot of activities You may participate in. Very popular activity among the tourists and the most interesting in my opinion is rafting down the river Gauja. There are different lengths of routes available, starting from some kilometers, and ending with 7 days long trip down the river.  I would recommend to try at least one day trip. The activity is very relaxing as You are enjoying beautiful views and sounds of nature. The river is rather smooth.  

The most popular attractions are nearby the camping site – “Tarzan” adventure park for active rest, Turaida castle, Sigulda castle, cableway above the river Gauja, Gauja national park, Ligatne nature park and others.

I visit camping “Siguldas beach” every Year in summer for 8 years already and I am always willing to came back. There have never been any problems with noisiness. There are internal rules that require camping guest to be quiet during the late hours. So, if there are any problems, You may ask stuff to solve it. The stuff is very friendly and forthcoming. 

There are always a lot of tourists from different countries, especially from Germany – couples, families with children mostly travelling by cars or caravans.

I would definitely recommend to visit camping “Siguldas beach” if You are in Latvia and like to spend time in nature’s lap!

We stayed for one night, and it was extremely quiet in the night, I only needed earplugs in the morning when the birds started singing. The small beach is also very nice. The welcome was friendly. All in all, a basic, nice camping area, no complaints.

Quiet camping area by the river

Great riverside setting, lovely shady trees, smallish site, yet surprisingly quiet. Ablutions in a bit of a sorry state, and gazillions of mozzies. Altogether not too bad - but been to much better sites elsewhere in the Baltics.

Every move you pay, so supid to pay if you use your own tent. Small toilets and people sleep so close to eachother, cant listen music because so much old people and kids everywhere, cant enjoy nature there
