Let's begin with that in Bishkek your options are fairly limited.... you can start with paying 15 USD for a 12 bed dorm at a Hostel in a less than appealing area, or on the other hand pay way to much for two star service. Well Hostel Inn Bishkek is centrally located, the price is very fair, and it is not overly crowded. There are private rooms, Dorms, and not too mention the lovely Elvira speaks English and can assist you with whatever your frustrating visa issues may be. Apart from the awful name this place is the best for your buck and a all round great place to end up spending some of your valuable time...... like grabbing a few pints at the black rabbit outback. As another reviewer has said, the facilities aren't great  - one shower/bathroom between 14 people. Luckily, I was there outside the main season, and, for part of the time I splashed out on a private room which had its own bathroom. However, I found the premises clean, and the staff amazingly helpful and kind. For instance, when I needed to get to East bus station, someone took me there by mashrutka; when I had a bad cough, someone took me to a pharmacist and explained.

This hostel definately dosen't win on facilities or cleanliness, but the staff is like one big happy family, making you feel really welcome and do their best to make it a pleasant stay. Great place to meet charismatic travellers and great Kyrgyz people! Highly recomended if atmosphere and charisma matters to you!

Stayed in a private double room with private bathroom.

Centrally located on Chuy Avenue.  10 minute walk to main square/fountain.

Though there are signs painted on the walls, if you arrive at night it might be a bit tricky to find as the entrance is not on the main street but behind the building.

Super friendly staff and owner.  Can provide lots of advice on travel in Bishkek and the rest of Kyrgyzstan.

It was July - had to request a fan - which was provided.
Wifi worked fine.
Wanted to use their bikes, but was told only one was available (there were 2 of us)

The main negative of the place is the lack of cleanliness in the rooms.  The bathroom was especially dingy.  However, this is kind of what you can expect from many hostels.  

Common area and kitchen are good - always nice as you can usually find someone to talk to, get information from, etc.

Bishkek's Hidden Gem

Very friendly hostel

Stay in a friendly and centrally located hostel

My friend and i were backpacking In kyrgystan and spent a few nights here. The staff was confused and dident understand much english if any. They gave us bad guidance (which send us to the wrong places) and They spend most of the time sleeping or surfing the internet. The only bathroom is small and dirty with only cold water. The dorms are cramped, the beds are shaky and hard and there is No help if people take your place. The only positive place about the place is its central location.
