we've recently returned from our stay at the tropical spice villas in jamaica. to say it was wonderful is an understatement.the villas are beautiful, the food was great and plenty & the beach is just awesome.the staff was ever present & willingly to catered to our needs with ease.we were pretty sad to leave. we'll definitely recommend family & friends to visit this place. our vacation was perfect & we're already planning our next trip back-to tropical spice of course.

This summer we spent our 3rd vacation in Jamaica & the 2nd at Tropical Spice Villas. Once we got on the property we didn’t wanna leave. The food was pretty good & the staff very accommodating & efficient. Our 3 kids loved the pool & it was hard to get them to come out even for dinner. Very clean beach & the lushness of the property is so enchanting it’s like it’s beckoning you to stay a little longer. We enjoyed ourselves fully & we plan on going back there at least once yearly. A wonderful place for a family vacation.
Tropical Spice got it right again! See you soon.

We completely enjoyed ourselves during our time at Tropical Spice. A perfect vacation to me is an escape from the rush of everyday life, and chores. Come to stay at Tropical Spice and you will find just that. 
From the moment we arrived we felt welcomed and well cared for. As we arrived we were offered  fresh fruit and juices, introduced to everyone and shown to our villa. 
All the meals that were prepared for us were very good. We enjoyed the authentic Jamaican meals as well as some tasty burgers for the kids. Like magic Juilette made all the dirty dishes dissappear after every meal and as needed helped with laundry. 
We loved our room and we were very comfortable in it. The bedrooms are clean, air conditioned, large and well appointed. The soaking tub and two person shower in our room  was a great luxury. 
The property is lovely, well kept by Jack and great for family getaways like ours. Our two children throughly enjoyed the pool. My daughter in particular enjoyed the swing too. It is hung from a large tree and nestled into the back of the grounds behind one of the two villas. Great fun for a three year old!  The beach is right at the end of the property and is beautiful.  
We feel very lucky to have found such a place, and hope to stay again in the future.

My friends & i stayed at Tropical Spice Villas for 6 days & it was an unforgettable experience.we were greeted by the very friendly staff with fresh Jamaican fruits & refreshing glasses of tropical punch.after meeting everyone, we were taken on a tour of the property by Althea.our rooms were decorated with a tropical ambiance which took our breaths away.it's as if they were expecting royalty.the food was excellent & we kept going back to the bar for the bartender's tasty mixed drinks.Althea was always eager to give us information &  fulfill our requests with a smile.she was a great help with getting us safely to our tours & back.the staff was great & treated us like family & not strangers, the grounds are beautiful-well kept by jack the gardener & the beach is one of the most beautiful i've ever seen.all in all, we enjoyed ourselves,didn't wanna leave & we'll definitely be back.i certainly miss waking up at tropical spice everyday.thank you guys for a wonderful vacation.

A wonderful escape from ordinary life, can't believe our luck!

A vacation to remember

My group rented both villas. The first bad sign was that no one seemed to know where it was, and my shuttle passed it 3 times trying to find it....if I didn't know where it was exactly I would have never got there. There was no adress or sign on the gate. I had no idea if I was even in the right place, alone and without cell service after the bus dropped me off. Once I reached the walkway I could see the place was in a bad state. Inside I was pretty horrified.
  The place was dirty, half the window screens busted and curling, hot and moldy smelling. My sheets had cigarette ashes on the bottom sheet. The garbage had not been emptied. Most of the TVs didn't work, the dryer didn't work. The villas at the front, the tv in the living room busted, the a/c upstairs not working at all.  Both villas have a tiny kitchen with coffee makers that don't function. Also both have a small downstairs bedroom/ bath that is so small that it is filled mostly by the bed, no window to the outside but rather a window inside. The downstairs is dominated by several useless doors and hallways and huge stairs that are oddly constructed. The only bathroom downstairs is in the small bedroom and Not handicap accessible. 
 The upstairs has two huge bedrooms, one with 2 twin and one queen bed, one with two full beds. Both have private bathrooms with walk in showers. There are huge soak tubs in each room. The bathroom door in my room was so swollen the door could not be shut. Annoying if you are sharing a room. The hallway had a crib and chair one of which smelled strongly of urine. BTW the dresser in my bedroom also smelled strongly of urine. The rooms had several roof leaks which took several days to address with the placement if tarps. At least the drip was beside my bed, not on it! The A/C in my room was broken for 10 days before being fixed properly, they told me that it was fixed, the fuse would blow every 15 seconds to 3 minutes, and "all I had to do (!!!!) was go downstairs and flip it back"! I had 2 total sleepless nights and 8 nights of 3-4 hours of disturbed sleep. It was unbearably hot and the one ceiling fan and busted screens that let bitting bugs in was no comfort at all. I was practically delirious from lack of sleep and only after making it very clear that I was either about to collapse &/or need hospital care that it was repaired properly.
  The pool was cloudy and unswimable the entire time. The hot tub outside was trashed. The gazebo trashed and floor less, filled with garbage. The bar area on the beach was obviously not used in a long time. By my estimate In would say that no one ha occupied this house 3 years. The caretaker Jack did a nice job with the garden and shooing trespassers. 
    The beach and gardens are beautiful. Coconuts, bananas and akee, ect. grace the gardens. Huge patios upstairs and down offer nice breezes and shade.The property is located right next to a resort and water park however and so the sound of music blasting and children shouting most of the day and night too can be annoying or enjoyable depending on your point of view.
  I felt like I was camping most of my time here...and by that I mean roughing it most of the time. Not the worst thing with such beauty close by. But a HUGE disappointment. I would be more comfortable in a tent then these crumbling villas.
