Arriving late in the evening we found Licia in the reception. She was very welcoming and helped us book a room for the night. English is limited but we still found a way to communicate with this sweet woman. 
The room was very clean and tidy and had what we needed; a bed, bathroom and a nice view. 
Licia made us a wonderful cappuccino in the morning to drink with our croissants. 
This is a ski resort we decided to visit in July, but wow the views are amazing here above the clouds in the mountains.


Hotel zodiaco in Vanéze. The place where I spent my wonderful holidays with my husband in 2024! It was the first winter stay in such a charming Italian town. A winding, steep mountain road leads to the town and the hotel, which is a great adventure from the very beginning. As you approach Vaneze and the hotel you feel like you are in a fairy tale land. The hotel is decorated with Christmas lights and allows you to immerse yourself in the magic of Christmas. You will be welcomed by friendly staff. Thanks to tasty meals and hospitality, you will discover Italian cuisine and more. A cozy hotel room will allow you to sleep well and rest after an active day spent in the fresh, clean mountain air. Hotel zodiako, located right next to the slope, invites skiers to the hotel bar for something to drink or a snack. There are many ski slopes nearby and the wonderful Monte Bondone snow park. Returning to the hotel, you can relax in the sauna, use the swimming pool or other forms of relaxation. Children will also feel great here thanks to the children's corner with many attractions. This is a place we would like to return to and I have already recommended it to many friends. See you at the zodiako vaneze hotel!

My family of 5 have a great stay in Hotel Zodiaco. We were split into 2 rooms, 2 in 1 room and 3 in one room. One room had an excellent view of Trento and the mountains ranges surrounding. The other view was a decent view of the slopes. While the rooms are not exactly modern, they are sufficient for a good night's sleep and very very clean. The only down side was that one room had a shower that didn't have much power. 

While the rooms do have some issues, I must say that the service is excellent and one of the best we've ever had. We stayed in Hotel Zodiaco over the Christmas period to ski and there were so many activities planned for us guests, especially little children. They have a dedicated group of girls that are event planners and they take charge of Christmas games, song items and even dance. If you are not local and want to see how Italians celebrate Christmas, this is the perfect place! Moreover Monte Bondone is not very touristy so many of their locals are very friendly (they aren't put off by tourists). The staff were very nice to us and provided us with good ski information and even information about the area. They were very well versed in their content and spoke decent English. 

Did I mention that the stay came with both breakfast and dinner? It was so worth it! The meals were fantastic! Breakfast is a very generous spread of eggs, bacon and Italian pastries that are a great way to start the day. Dinner was either a salad and sides and dessert buffet with 2 courses or a 5-6 course meal with a buffet dessert. The food is amazing. Kudos to the chef!

Skiing at Monte Bondone is good for families. They had a good selection of slopes that are wide. The ski resort is not too crowded too so it was a very good ski run. While there was no snowfall during the december period, they do generate snow so the slopes are at tip top standard. 

Overall, apart from the tired looking rooms, the rest of the stay and ski was perfect. I highly recommend this place for families especially in the Christmas period. To the staff at Hotel Zodiaco, thank you!

Apartments Orizzonte are under the hotel Zodiaco 80 m from the lift to the Monte Bondone ski centrum. Perfekt place for the family with smaller children. Wellness centrum in the appartements was perfect after skiing. Nice personal in the hotel. Good connection to Trento via skibus.

There were two positive aspects of the hotel Zodiaco in Monte Bondone: kind staff and a good location. The rooms need reparation - it was not possible to close te balcony doors, the doorthe chair was half broken, the shower door as well, there was a mold on the wall of  the bathroom... The food was a real disappointment- for the first time in my life when eating in Italy. The only exception was pasta, that was good. No fruit for breakfast, vegetables in limited quantity- cut lettuce, tomato and cucumber  without dressing.  NO fruit tea for kids, some days without juice for breakfast.  Tasteless soups,  cold fried potatoes, pommes frites that disapeared after 10 minutes and were not supllemented. Really very small portions of meat, half raw fried fish, chicken of bad quality and without taste. It was evident that the cook did not like to cook and the owner smof the hotel saving  money on the costs of  clients.
