We called up and were welcomed to come and stay as there were vacancies (late June). Was a bit tricky to get there the first time, but easy mountain driving on good and safe paved road. 9km from Bolzano, about 15 minutes (3 minutes driving from San Genesio). It's a farm house, we paid for a room (in the attic) without breakfast. Were charged a bit more than quoted on the phone, but we agreed as we came with no reservations. Weather was just warm, though I don't remember seeing air conditioning in the room, summer must be quite hot up in the attic rooms. We enjoyed nice windows for breeze, and light curtains. Beautiful views!!! Rustic-decorated and full of local ambuence rooms, wooden, simple quaint farm charm. Comfortable beds, nice bathroom facilities, communal kitchenette in the attic (we didn't use), and communal bathroom for some of the guestrooms. Great value for money. Budget. Not a hotel, just a very nice and warm family who have made and are always making great effort to please their international guests, making you feel welcome and ensure you enjoy your time in their home and region!
