11 reviewsVacanze al Fleming was more than my words can express. My husband and I had been traveling 10 days around Europe, Rome was our last stop. We were exhausted and a bit homesick. That all changed. After staying here for 2 days with the host PierreLuigi we did not want to go home. He made arrangements for a taxi to pick us up at the airport, since the taxi drivers can be con artists. That was a blessing. As soon as we arrived taxi drivers attacked up with offers of transport, it was intimidating. Thankfully our driver was there. We made way to Vacanze al Fleming. It was beautiful. There were two rooms to choose from. One was very spacious and beautiful. The other was smaller but had its' own bathroom, and it was lovely. We had the smaller room and it was perfect. I was worried because there was no AC, but we were perfectly comfortable. We opened the window at night and it was wonderful. The location was so convenient. We were a one minute walk from the bus stop that would take us to St.Peters Cathedral. That was ideal for us as we had bought tickets for one of the hop on hop off bus tours that picked up there, at St. Peter's. We could have taken that bus to a connecter as well which we did several time. Vacanze al Fleming is near the best gelato shop that we have experienced. yumm.. There is also a grocery store which also sells wine within 5 minutes walking distance. Many restaurants are also near. It was really the perfect location. It was affordable, beautiful, superbly clean, all that we could have asked for. The breakfast was out of this world. Cheeses and cured meats, breads and pastries, juice and coffee. No where in this world have we ever had such a breakfast. Amazing. The best part of our stay in Rome was PierreLuigi our host and the owner of the bed and breakfast. He became family in only two days. He is one of the best people that we have ever met. He was funny, kind, and a real gem. He impacted our trip, and he was in fact our favorite part of Rome. (keep in mind that Rome is amazing, and he was a stranger). So I would HIGHLY recommend this bed and breakfast. We made memories there that will last a life time.
