Albergo Miramare

The hotel itself is minutes away from the beaches of Bergeggi with a nice easy stroll downhill to get there. Breakfast was included for us; bread, cornetto (croissant), focaccia, selection of juices, coffee, tea, water and various condiments for the bread and could be taken inside or outside (with tremendous views of previously mentioned beaches). The rooms themselves were nothing special but you're likely not going to spending much time in them anyway given the beauty of the area. The rooms had wifi (originating from one central hub) which wasn't always good enough to allow you to do much with it, although I found if you take your laptop down to closer to the router itself, the internet is good enough to watch the football! The beds were comfortable enough and the rooms cool enough in the evening to sleep. We stayed for around 8/9 days and Fabio (who seems to be the receptionist, concierge, manager, waiter and breakfast chef) was an incredibly nice person. He was always available and always willing to help and could often be found running around the hotel fixing problems. One evening we ate in the restaurant and the food was absolutely terrific; mainly fish related (although if you don't like fish a seaside town might not be the place for you). The ravioli were especially nice and quite typical of the area, so would recommend highly. The only drawback is usual for the area. The cleaner of the room came across as quite rude on a daily basis; always seemed quite snappy and unhappy even to simple requests. This area of Italy is full of people like this; rude and self-centred. Fabio himself seemed to buck the trend, given how friendly and nice he was.
