Podere Emilia

The first positive comment we would like to make about this B & B is that we were able to easily change our booking at the last minute without any inconvenience. The second is the absolute quiet and relaxed feeling we got when we parked the car. The surrounding countryside, although not yet full summer with many trees still in their winter coat, was lovely and we enjoyed the best sleeps here. Indeed the provincial road connecting Anghiari or Monterchi is about 800 metres distance. The accommodation is very rustic, simple yet comfortable. We stayed in a self-contained unit on the ground floor without any stairs or steps. Emilia was attentive and friendly but still discrete and when she asked us if everything was OK on the first morning and we asked if it was possible to change the pillows, she immediately replaced them for us. We also loved Hercules, the friendly cat, who visited us and made us feel at home. There is also an elderly horse living on the property and a couple of quiet dogs. Breakfast cake was left in the kitchen, along with milk in the fridge. There was ground coffee and the moka machine, sugar etc. as well as saucepans, plates etc. etc. in the cupboards. Some toiletries were provided in the bathroom. Although the price was very affordable Emilia did not spare on the heating costs. We would certainly stay here again.
