Thus understated cafe-style restaurant at Puri Rama is a hidden gem.

Our family of 8 all ate well and couldn't finish the Nasi Goreng and Mei Goreng we ordered, which was a mind-blowing $1.50 AU each plate!! Yes, you read that correctly, just one dollar fifty cents per plate! We were stuffed when we were finished! 

We also had fresh coconut juice for only $1.50 AU each and 2 lots of French fries for $1 AU per serve.

The service was outstanding, the staff so friendly, and the final bill - for all of us to eat and drink our fill - was an unbelievable $24.50 AU!! 

They have a cute little outdoor yoga studio in the back. Michelle the yoga teacher was fantastic, very experienced and welcoming to all levels. She recently moved to Bali from Brooklyn and is way overqualified for such a small studio. A secret gem studio with an excellent yogini, I recommend to anyone in need of a yoga session to stretch out sore surfing muscles. 

We recently enjoyed the accommodation of Puri Rama. What a wonderful place! Host & hostess, Rama and Dewi are great, but also the whole staff. No question is too much. The rooms are large and have a nice terrace, air conditioning and a good, spacious bathroom. Every day the room was cleaned and we were provided with clean towels. The common areas breathe the relaxed atmosphere and there is an opportunity to make tea/ coffee as well as fresh water. We didn't stay here but we ate at the Warung at the front more than anywhere else during our month in Canguu.  Great local food at 15k - 20k per dish.  Food always made fresh and very friendly service.  For about 3 weeks I thought the place was called Cold Coconut from the sign out the front and couldn't believe it doesn't it have its own spot on TripAdvisor. Simple cheap local dining with a fridge full of Bintangs. 

While it is a home stay there is a very good restaurant with a lot of character. A delicious chicken curry (spiced as you want), rice, large bottle of water and a watermelon juice was 40,000 IRs. Good service as well.

Best local Warung (Murah)

A brilliant and incredibly cheap restaurant

Puri Rama is in a very good location for the party side of the trip directly on Kuta strip next door to sky garden. Offering 2 pools, a bar, free breakfast, 2 pool tables and different standard rooms. We were greeted by staff which the manager swiftly took over showing us around the hostel, our room and the room we could have for a little more. On check in the room previously shown wasn’t ours it was one similar (same price). Around 4.30 I found bed bugs and went to reception. They changed our room which had no air con, changing the room again which was poor so eventually upgraded the room which was already occupied and would be full the next day. The morning after the manager was apologetic offering the best room with no extra charge also to do our laundry 
Good stay don’t go for the budget room!!(extended 1 night in Hollywood suit)
