Great stories from the very Icelandic owner, a sweet pup named "Magic" (English translation), beds and rooms crafted in traditional style like you see in the folk museums, a wonderful very warm pool and a hot hot tub. If you like rustic Icelandic you'll love this. I certainly did. If, on the other hand, you need a spacious room, find a few small items left by others in the shared outside shower bothersome, or want flawless kitchen and common rooms, you probably should find a hotel. This ain't it. In the off months, this place is run by a one man show, and while his heart is in it, he's just one person. Built by the owners grandfather which tells you both the kind of style and quality of the place but also its age. Don't get me wrong, it's well maintained, but if your spot the owner fixing a faucet or some such that's to be expected. Highly recommended for folks that enjoy an authentic stay.
