TheArtemis - Perissa Hotel

Wish I could keep this place secret. We went for a week, not knowing what to expect but positive after reading all the reviews, and to be honest, it is better than the reviews tell you so we will be back! The basics. The hotel is spotlessly clean, with the rooms made up daily ( we stayed for 7 days). We couldn't fault our room. Basic but comfortable in keeping with the rating. Beds were great, we had 3 in our room and because of that the storage for clothes was a bit low, but that didn't matter. Room safe, fridge and Air-con were brilliant additions, as was the hairdryer. The bathroom was excellent, shower was powerful and hot if needed. The breakfasts everyday were simple but incredibly tasty. Homemade pastries and other things and the coffee was amazing. The Pool area was incredibly clean and if you needed an extra sunbed it suddenly appeared! Pool bar was well stocked and very friendly and not expensive. They will only allow items purchased from the hotel to be consumed at the pool, and to be fair completely understandable, but as I said as the drinks aren't expensive it is completely fair. The owners are lovely, Yianni loved to chat and tell stories, especially after the pool bar is meant to close and it appeared that there were lots of returning visitors. Also they're full of information on the area so are able to answer any questions. The next time we go, we will spend more time around the pool as it is so chilled, and definitely try the homemade Pizzas as they looked delicious. Location wise, it is a 10 minute walk up a hill from the beach, so if you plan to go onto the beach then remember that, especially it is hot.
