Hotel Avra

Sometimes a one-night stay is just a one-night stay... however, we were extremely pleased to discover that the hotel "Avra" in Karditsa, chosen by a sheer chance, could offer the real quality of a 3+ star hotel for the cost of two stars. Very clean, quite modern, with all amenities (including the hair-dryer), a car parking on-site, familiar continental breakfast... only two disappointments: no elevator, and a night guy not speaking English at all. The Hotel is located on the main artery of Karditsa and very close to its pedestrian area. Also, there is a supermarket in 150 meters from the Hotel - so if you (like us) wish to have something extra on your table (or avoid sitting in a taverna :-), you can easily do so... and the fridge in the room will handle the snack. We did not have any extra request except two separate beds. We found the third one in the room - and NO extra charge... so, good to know for those who might be traveling through Karditsa with kids. They have such rooms and you won't feel robbed. We definitely recommend this hotel for families, business people ... your pocket won't be emptied and you will be left with a nice feeling of a good stay and good sleep.
