Berlins City Hostel

It was first stay in  city hostel Berlin  but not the last if i will visit  Berlin  i will stay in it 
hotel is located heart of  town. Very good location and quiet area.  all attractive place will you visit just 10 minutes walk tram next to hostel 1 minute 
supermarket 2 minutes 
room was very  clean  and comfortable in quiet area . 
reception was Excellent. So friendly and helpful especially Adaia from Spain always smile .welcome to guests    supported  me with  map to visit attractive places even for chick in

Myself and my friend stayed at the Berlin city hostel for 4 nights, we had a nice stay. The beds were comfortable but pillows weren’t very good. Nice clean room and the cleaners came in daily. The buffet breakfast is simple but plenty to choose from. Would recommend good value for money. 

Check in easy, place to leave luggage. Room clean, wifi slow but works, cold drinks downstairs. Helpful reception and most importantly a bed to sleep in, wish there was aircon and reception was 24hr. Laundry service is broken 31/07/18 Definitely recommend.

Hostel is in a great location, offers a great value for money and is well worth a visit. The facilities are decent and get the job done. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The bar is good with good cheap beer

The rooms are better then other hostels I’ve stayed in for big size. Beds were ok and good the toilet and shower were separated so less queuing. Also the breakfast wasn’t my favourite as there was no English cooked breakfasts but if you like continental breakfasts it’s perfectly fine just don’t expect a fry up.

Location of the hotel is good since almost all the sights are within walking distance. I understand that the hotel will not be able to control who checks in however, we were unlucky that we stayed with a big group teenagers. The rooms are not soundproof and we can hear their loud conversations and running around in the early morning. If you are a light sleeper it will be a challenge.  The staff in the reception is helpful.

The tour I was with used this hostel as their last stop, and to avoid moving I booked it for one extra night before I left. 

The first (twin) room booked by the tour was ok. Sparse, but ok. The quad share was different - the shower was really mouldy, the towels provided had holes in them. There weren’t any privacy curtains, so if the room light was turned on, everyone was woken up. There were small reading lights, which were helpful. Power points were oddly located, so at least one of the beds had nothing close by, requiring people to charge expensive items on the other side of the room to where they slept.

We had issues with the card not working multiple times (approximately 6 times in two days), and the staff at reception were generally.. flat. Not rude, but definitely disinterested and dismissive. 

Wifi was exceedingly slow. Breakfast was basic. 

Only worth it if cost is your main concern. 

You get what you pay for

Booked as first time in berlin and reviews not bad. This hostel looked drab and not well maintained on entry. Staff not rude but not welcoming  friendly either.
Only two towels, one per person given at reception and a deposit wanted for tv remote.
Room tired and dirty, . Arrived late.so dropped bags and out.  When back room freezing.  Pipe work in toilet hanging loose and shower leaked you room.
Walls so thin we could hear all from next door. He also shouted for us to be quiet when we were only talking.
Checked outhe next day. Asked for money back.  Told only one day refund from four. After receiving money back,  I was asked if all okay.  I said no  and was asked if I brought it  to staff attention. I said just now,not last night as very late. No more was said and staff walked away. I'll put it down to experience . But wouldn't recommend this hostel.

Not great

The jails in Berlin must be more comfortable than this.Sparse dorm with metal bunks zero decoration no carpet.Depressing is not the word.Bare minimum/ toilets showers for whole corridor.Some with no toilet paper.Doors bangin/loud shouting from outdoor terrace to 4am.You would have to be mad or desperate to stay this Hell Hole Hostel.
