We attempted to eat here twice before managing to get a table.  Kept showing up too late in the day, too early or on their ruhetag.  Definitely worth the wait though.  Food was great and the staff were kind and patient while we practiced our German.  We really enjoyed the goulash, schnitzel paniert and the rahmsoße.  The upstairs portion of the restaurant is smoke free.  Would go again :)

Worth the wait

An atypical but charming setting. A very good bed and a clean room will allow you to spend a good night. We have insisted on cleanliness! Breakfast is quality and the staff is attentive.

Very good stay.

Very popular central location. Typical exterior, nice. 1950s interior, not exactly the best. Small but clean room. Breakfast more than acceptable. You don't speak much English, but you can arrange.

Basics

The room wasn't cleaned at all, paints smeared with blood or something like that, floors full of hair, mirrors sprayed, and a sewing machine in the bathroom.

The rooms were clean and quiet. The car park was very ideally located. The breakfast was very good and the service was very convenient. Very ideal central location near the city center. Very recommended.

Short stay in Lahr

It was a business one night on the spot. At night, I also stayed at the restaurant (above) and everything is fine. The price is right. If you're looking for a modern hotel, it's not very well advised.

Price and performance OK

As an outdoor maintenance worker, I have stayed in many hotels. As a smoker, I would like to emphasize that the smoking area is a dream, with water and real fish. The breakfast buffet is completely sufficient, rich and very tasty for the normal service. If my employer calls me back to Lahore, I will stay at the hotel. Thank you very much for staying at the restaurant, thank you very much for your hospitality.

Just feeling good

We used to eat here from time to time. The food was delicious to dull, depending on the taste, at normal prices. If we liked the frame and the ambiance back then. But the last time we didn't feel comfortable without being very sophisticated, we have to realize that a tapeta change would be a modernisation insofar as these fabrics and plastic flowers don't seem very inviting, because I think everything is, although it makes the discussion about taste safe, kitschy and so unattractive that we would rather eat somewhere else what we did. Because we were uncomfortable in that ambience with the now-flat flower beds that have been spilled.

Meal is moderate, ambience is overloaded and kitschy

I needed one room for two nights on a business trip. The room was clean and the lady at the reception was very nice. I ate dinner at the Bistro Garden Laube. The portion was fine. The food itself was tasteless. Even the gypsy sauce with paprika etc. was cooked as long as the taste was no longer present. Shame. So the hotel for a quick overnight was absolutely at the right price/performance. The restaurant for German stories wasn't good enough. Or did I just have a bad night? 🤔

Price performance match

Family hotel with simple facilities with kitschy strokes and also easy breakfast. Equipment especially in the bathroom is easy and everything needs to be renovated. Advantage: it is centrally located and has parking after 5 p.m.
