Hostel OldLviv

If your paths lead you through Kutaisi - because you are flying into Georgia by wizzair, or because it's on your way to the Black Sea, or to Svanetia - allow for two days there and stay at this hostel! Super helpful staff, and a very easygoing place! They were my saviour in the middle of the night and shared a magic place in the middle of nowhere with us! ❤️

Spacious, clean rooms. Not easy to find, you should keep in mind that the hostel is located not on the main street (Shota Rustaveli ave) but on a small impasse (the exact address is Shota Rustaveli ave, impasse 8, bld 14).

The main attraction of the hostel is the host: pretty friendly guy which is welcoming you in the best traditions of Georgian hospitality.

The previous reviews certainly are odd and may be another place listed with the same name. 

Easy to find with a sign outside. It's only 30m of the main road. 
Although the woman speaks little English she is seriously helpful. Nothing id too hard. Sometimes her son is there who speaks excellent English
There are 3 private rooms and a huge 8 bed dorm. 
We travel with bicycles and it had very good parking spots .
It's only a 10min walk to town. 
Big common kitchen.
It's very good valuefree washing machine, and great Wi-Fi.
Power and water was sporadic but that was due to a local thunder storm. 
We'd stay again

Late night arrival, no problem, anything you need, they take care of it. Staff is friendly, shoes off, clean floors, nice beds, lovely experience for my daughter and I. Thank you Old Lviv. Also location is great.

Charming place with super helpful staff

The best budget hostel in Kutaisi

Staff is overwilling to help, share and provide resources needed.

I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy.

We stayed here in August. Our first day was fine. The second day, the hostel was overbooked and late in the afternoon, we were moved from our room to another premises.

In this premises, we had no WiFi, no air conditioning, no electricity in the room and no running water. All of these were facilities we had chosen the accommodation for and paid for.

After we left a review on our booking platform, mentioning all of these problems, you can imagine our surprise to begin receiving abusive messages from the owner on Facebook. After being questioned about these messages, he continued to send rude replies and denied point blank that any of the things we had experienced had happened.

I would not feel safe recommending this place to anyone, after the volatile and aggressive behaviour displayed by the owner. I can only imagine how he would react to complaints in person. 

All round, from the mix up with the rooms, to the events after our stay, I have to say that the owner displays a complete lack of professionalism or even basic communication skills.
