My first stay at the Village Hôtelier was in 2008. Since then, I have been back several times with the same pleasure. The managers are always available and ready to inform us. The hostels are always very clean and the setting is particularly pleasant, surrounded by wood. Depending on the season, you can see owls, hedgehogs, rabbits... We appreciate the possibility of borrowing many things (sometimes on bail) such as board games, electric barbecues, vacuum cleaner... The pool is very safe for children... and adults. It has stood me well. 😉 Apart from the roads and exits, the beds are inaccessible by car. The arrivals must be kept in a very nice place! The axles and chickenhouses are also very easy to access, and in the car and in the car are several wheels and wheels.

We get a taste of it.

We have just spent a week of family vacation at the Village Hotel and are delighted: warm welcome, clean accommodation, nice quiet park and very pleasant swimming pool after visits to the area.

Very good stay.

Incredibly clean and friendly little hamlet just outside Saumur. Everything including the pool was spotless and the kitchen was well equipped. Kids loved the table tennis table.  It was within walking distance (1 mile) from the wine caves and a lovely restaurant but the main town of Saumur needed a car or bicycle.  We stayed in a four person gite and there’s was plenty room for the two kids in twin beds on the mezanine and my husband and myself on the sofa bed which was really comfortable. Really good value for money.

Perfectly kept getaway

A warm and friendly accommodation, impeccable and spacious accommodation, unmistakable, friendly swimming pool and a peaceful woodland setting.

The top

The hotel village is well situated, close to the National Riding School and the town of Saumur, in a very quiet and green place. The managers are friendly. The studio is impeccably clean and has the essentials to spend a few days enjoyable (kitchen with microwave, refrigerator, boiler, large-format bathroom); the bed is perfect (even in case of back pain). The only bemool: there is no suitcase furniture and it is not possible to open the windows without bringing in flies or mosquitoes. Stay in the whole very pleasant.

A pleasant stay in a quiet place

The village is very quiet and restful, ideally located: close to the National Equestrian School and the tourist trails of the region, the forest is 20 m away, Saumur is 10 min away by car. The hostels are very well equipped, very comfortable and very clean.

It's wonderful.

We stayed here in 3 friends for three nights one weekend in June for the Anjou Velo Vintage; a really nice quiet place immersed in the green, the houses are clean, quiet, well furnished with everything and quite spacious. Ours was provided with a double-bed sofa and a double-bed sofa on the ground floor. The small but clean bathroom and with towels. The kitchen furnished with everything, refrigerator, microwave, plates, lounges, cups, cups and various pots. The reception girl was kind and available. The strength of this village is the silence, the tranquility and the forest in which she is immersed. There was the swimming pool, but we didn't even have time to use it.

It's a great stay.

First visited in 2011 and returned May this year.  Under new ownership and they have smartened up the place.  The swimming pool looks fresh and clean (the weather was too bad for us to use it!). The outside of the chalets have been cleaned.  Inside the lino flooring is a bit sad but it was clean inside and the beds were comfortable. Cooking utensils are very limited (one saucepan and one frying pan)  tea towels were provided but no washing up cloths.. It was very quiet and all the guests seem to be well behaved. It is what it is.  If you want luxury - forget it.  Excellent to use as a base for exploring the area.  Situated in the same road as the National Equestrian Centre (within walking distance) and with a very large riding school next door it is ideal for horse lovers.  They also take dogs with lots of woodland for nice walks.  Good place too for walkers and cyclists. They were extremely friendly and very helpful.  They could speak a little English.  I would definitely return as it is so conveniently situated.
