New year 2023

A small village but with something to improve. Food with little choice but good enough (because we're in Egypt). rooms to restore. Nice and kind waiters. very nice and cute animators, engage you in activities without being invasive and heavy.

The village is not bad, the barrier and the beach are very nice, the rooms to be reviewed, the sheets and towels, the kitchen is easy to use (to be in Egypt) but with little variety, the animation boys are friendly, always with a smile and never invasive.

Christmas of 2023

Good food, comfortable rooms very spacious and I had three beds at my disposal. Very nice animation very strong and very engaging thank you Jacques Martina Sebastian and Matteo.

Detox and relaxing vacation

The kitchen wasn't competent, but the food was as good as the service, the room was very clean and comfortable, the animation was great, the kids were very eager, smiling and never intrusive, so I'll be back safe.

Family vacation at the shony

I have to admit that I wasn't expecting any miracles and luxury when I was looking for a vacation, but I needed to rest from a year's work and recharge my batteries in the sun by the sea. I chose Shoni Bay, and I don't regret it. I had a cozy room with a view of the sea and a clean bathroom, the hotel staff was smiling, kind and promptly helpful during service. The water in swimming pools is crystal clear, the access to the sea is gradual and without a jetty. Snorkeling on coral reefs great. The food was very good, the selection smaller, but I always chose. The animators were mainly aimed at the Italian clientele, but they were good. But the best was the young Italian Sebastian originally from Romania. Pleasant and communicative, especially to our small Czech community, a really great young man. Quite by chance, we met here a great group from the Czech Republic, and we had a lot of fun. We were all very happy with our stay at Shoni Bay and also the swarms of mosquitoes were very happy to they have us (they sucked a lot), but it was enough to sleep all night with all the lights on and the mosquitoes eased their thirst. Overall, I had a very good impression of my stay and will definitely return to Shoni Bay again...............

Great holiday in Shoni Bay.

Because we are experienced Egyptian travelers and always book hotels in a similar price segment. Unfortunately, this time we were completely in the only room. First of all, the room: these were clean and tidy. The mattresses were unfortunately not our case, but this is our subjective perception. Food and drinks: unfortunately, both are underground. Almost every second drink was returned because it was even more inedible than the other drinks. Either it tasted chlorine, or there were still plenty of detergents in it.

Unfortunately a disappointing vacation:

Pretty good food for an All-in, clean and friendly service. Special mention for the great animation team, super enthousiast and with a lot of activities during the day, no time to get bored.Fantastic!

Greetings, dear friends, associates and travelers!
I want to share my impressions of my 31st holiday in Egypt. Rested in Marsa Alam at the Shoni Bay 4* hotel for 7 nights, all inclusive. I chose a hotel with a beautiful reef and intelligent guests.
	Departure was from Warsaw. We flew on Ukrainian airlines with our Ukrainian crew, a very pleasant flight to Marsa Alam.
	The transfer to the hotel takes about 20 minutes. I arrived at the hotel at 12 o'clock at night. I was met at the reception by very nice guys, i was checked in right away. An incredibly pleasant surprise awaited me in the room in the form of sandwiches and fruit. Number 105 on the first floor in the "relax" zone. The room is large and clean, a large bed, a sofa, a wardrobe with a mirror, a safe, a refrigerator, a TV, air conditioning, a table, a kettle, tea, coffee, sugar.
	The bathroom has a shower cabin. There is a small hairdryer. The equipment is not new, but everything works. A small bottle of water was brought daily. If there is not enough water, you can either buy it or pour it from a cooler into a bottle in bars. There is only liquid soap in the bathroom, take shampoos and cream with you, because everything is very expensive in the hotel shops. Light insulation and sound insulation were normal, you could sleep well.
	The best part of the room is its own terrace with a wonderful view of the sea: the sunrises and sunsets are incredible. On the terrace there are 2 chairs, a table, a dryer. A few meters from the terrace door there are sunbeds with wind shields. I walked about 25 meters from my room to my sunbed. Daily cleaning went well, thanks a lot.
	The territory of the hotel is small, compact, but very green and clean. The hotel is conventionally divided into an active zone and a rest zone. Both areas have pools and bars. I will not tell you anything about the water in the pools, because the pools did not interest me.
	I really liked the idea of dividing the hotel into 2 zones: animation works in the active zone, very loud music played almost all the time, there are a lot of sunbeds, and there are also a lot of people.
	The "Relax" zone started from my room, there were very few people. The sunbeds were in one row, there was a lot of free space. I was very comfortable.
	The hotel has atypical architecture for Egypt. The style of the main building is more reminiscent of European. At night, the grounds and buildings look very beautiful and romantic.
	There are 2 restaurants in the hotel: one in the main building, one on the beach (it also works a la carte in the evening). That's what I didn't like in the hotel - food. For people who can only eat pasta every day, it will be fine, but for those who like a varied menu, they will not like it. In the main restaurant, the choice of vegetables, side dishes of fish and meat is very small. Unfortunately, not everything was tasty: sometimes the meat was very tough, and the fish was dry and bony. But still you will not be hungry. The tastiest for me were eggplants and several times I had baked tuna. There was also fresh fruit. The restaurant has a medium hall and a terrace outside. The wine for lunch and dinner was of normal quality.
	Lunch at the restaurant on the beach is even less varied: pizza, pasta and vegetables. No meat or fish. But the sea view is beautiful. It's good that food is not a priority for me.
	We had dinner 1 time according to the menu. I was a bit surprised by this concept. First you choose raw seafood, it is cooked and served with fries, then the bill is issued. There are also chopped vegetables. There are no ready-made interesting salads. For variety, you can try having dinner.
	There are three bars under the "all inclusive" system: there is a main bar on the second floor above the reception and 2 bars on the beach (in the active and relaxation zones). The bars have standard Egyptian soft and alcoholic drinks. The quality of drinks is normal, the service is good. I drank only "Stela" beer from bottles. 	
	Service is the strong point of the hotel. Almost all staff are very attentive and polite. Service is unobtrusive and with a smile. Well done Thanks to the excellent service, I didn't want to pay attention to some minor problems. I want to sincerely thank you!!!!
	I especially liked the staff at the reception. Always very friendly, pleasant, well-mannered and polite. From the first to the last day of my stay at the hotel, they instantly helped to solve any household problems. They are probably the best reception staff I have seen in 31 holidays in Egypt. Thank you!!!
	Animation in the hotel is Italian, very active and fun. I really enjoyed their evening shows and contests. During the day, the animation team also actively entertains the guests. But there was one significant drawback: the music was so loud that it could be heard even in the "relax" zone, and in the bar of the "active" zone, guests could not hear each other.
	The beach is clean and large, there is enough space for everyone. In the "relax" zone, the sunbeds are usually in one row. On the beach, towels are issued in exchange for cards.
	I really liked Bay Shoni. The entrance to the sea through a sandy bay is very convenient. Further, the bay is divided into northern and southern coral walls.
 	I especially liked the northern part of the bay. The coral is alive and very bright. The wall is formed by a huge number of coral species, the palette and architecture is incredible. The specificity of this particular reef is that there are not many large fish here, but in each zone there are thousands of small bright anthias, dascilas and chromis. Many butterflies, parrots, groupers, arotrons, hyaline, flutes. Large Aleutians posed for the camera. Sometimes I saw huge tunas. Many schools of mackerel hunt constantly. When the evening begins, many large and beautiful lions appear. The sea is like a luxurious aquarium. Each patch of coral is unique. You can swim for hours, admire the endless sea, and you will never get bored.
	Behind the territory of the hotel is only desert. The nearest hotel is several kilometers away. You can take a taxi to Port Ghalib, it's not far.
	Although the hotel has a few small flaws, in my opinion, thanks to the excellent service, fun entertainment, fabulous scenery, incredible sea, I had a wonderful vacation. The hotel left very positive impressions. I would love to come back here again.

A cozy little hotel with an Italian soul

I'm here as a regular guest for the third and fourth time, getting perfectly clean rooms right away, hot water boilers on demand, food at the restaurant is always very versatile, and for me as a vegetarian, there's a lot to choose from!
