I am beyond pleased with this hotel. The accommodations were extremely comfortable, the decor was elegant and charming, maintaining the rustic appeal of the colonial city, but above all, the customer service was unbelievable. Allow me to elaborate... I had just come back from Esmeraldas and accidentally opened my mouth in the shower. Fast forward a couple of days and I was sick as a dog. The waiter at the hotel's restaurant noticed my plight and ran to the nearby pharmacy to get me an electrolyte water and a probiotic med in between taking our order and delivering our meals. This kind of customer service is unbeatable! They were so attentive and even offered to bring up warmed up milk for my young child in the mornings, doing anything they could to help me fight of Montezuma's revenge. The location of the hotel is ideal, too. It is nestled in Historic Cuenca and walking distance to everything. We were also very pleased with all the meals we had there. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Cuenca.
