Occidental Caribe - All Inclusive

I am currently staying at this resort, and my experience was a rollercoaster ride. Initially, I was impressed by the spotless lobby and friendly, English-speaking staff. The bellman was courteous, but my room was a disappointment. It was unclean, lacked essential amenities, and had some maintenance issues. Despite reporting the problems multiple times, nothing seemed to change until I met Cindy (butler) lShe's truly the heart of this hotel – caring, understanding, and proactive. Cindy swiftly addressed the issues, and the maintenance team fixed everything promptly. The Guest Experience Manager also followed up to ensure everything was resolved. As someone working in hospitality, I appreciate excellent damage control. The resort shines with its many activities, engaging entertainment staff, and helpful gym instructor. The sand on the beach is beautiful, but the beach itself was a bit rough due to weather conditions. While the food takes some getting used to, I did find a new favorite – the "Dirty Monkey" drink! *Pros:* - Exceptional service from Cindy, ask for her if you need your issues resolve - Engaging entertainment staff - Helpful gym instructor - Many activities to enjoy - Beautiful sand on the beach *Cons:* - Initial room issues with cleanliness and maintenance - buffet was very crowded but there's also the option of making dinner reservations at the speciality restaurant. *Recommendation:* Despite the initial hiccups, I'd definitely recommend this resort thanks to Cindy's exceptional service and the team's efforts to rectify the issues. If you're looking for a place with plenty of activities and a team that cares, this might be the spot for you!
