We spent one night at the hotel. It is simple but perfect if you are looking for a central place to sleep. There is no reception, but everything worked out very smooth and easy.
Clean, comfortable beds, big bathroom, nice garden if the weather allows you to be outside. 
Free parking.

Simple but nice

Not only was it simple but it was also very customary that there was no staff to see. The facility was spartan like a youth hostel 50 years ago. That there was no fountain in the hotel and the light in the bathroom and the ventilation could not be turned off did not contribute to well-being. Breakfast was fine, except that there were no clean coffee bags.

The hotel is quite simple. Access by Pin Code, which you get ahead of time by email.
No staff on the ground at all.
The room was a little bit smelly and the bathroom really needs some more attentive cleaning.
Apart from this, the bed was ok and the way to the ferry terminal is just a few minutes. 
From a price to service ratio, it is still a god choice, since it is simple, but also cheap (for a hotel in Denmark)

Only good, if you need to catch an early ferry

Small hotel, all pretty clean, light Gestank in the bathroom but not bad beds pretty comfortable and clean very close to the harbour but still very quiet for a night optimally a walk downtown and a hike to the beach is a must

Short stay before crossing the ferry

From the outside, the hotel doesn't look very inviting. We found the location good. The Pincode check-in worked well. Our room was simple and clean. It was quiet and the beds were comfortable. The breakfast is very modest. Baked bread, a jam, a kind of cheese, no meat.

Accommodation in a central location

Stayed for 1 night coming back late from Sweden. No staff anywhere to be seen , it is all self service. You get a door code when you book to let you in to the hotel and your room. Took a 2 bed room, which looks like it was a single made into a twin. Tiny room but it was only for sleeping in. Flat screen TV.  Large bathroom which was a shower sink and toilet. Free coffee and tea during your stay in the canteen.  Free parking outside. Basic breakfast in the morning which is from 6.30 - 9.30.  Only negative is being woken up at 3 a.m. from 2 noisy men who had been out on the town and were staying in the hotel. Couldn't get bsck to sleep.  I have no idea why hotels can't make their rooms with sound proofing.  

Great for a 1 night stop

On our trip to Norway, we made a stopover in Frederikshavn before leaving for the ferry the next morning. From this location, the hotel was well advised - within walking distance of the city centre, and only two minutes by car from the ferry terminal. Unfortunately, the parking space is not large enough for all guests - whoever arrives late, parks somewhere on the street; right in front of the hotel is off-limits. Check-in with code worked wonderfully, the room was also very spacious and functionally furnished.

For one night, it's perfectly fine.

very different but simple if your memory is good you book  online they show you the bedrooms if you pick on they give you a bedroom number and a hotel number then when you arrive you key in the hotel number to get into the building then the room number to open up your room no staff involved. you get a breakfast basic again no staff . the rooms are basic but clean and tidy. a 10/ 15 minutes from the station and 1 minute to the sea port Stena line to Oslo or Gothenburg

An unusual experience. An unstaffed hotel. You are emailed your room number and door code before you arrive. Clean modest room, a canteen is available with free tea and coffee 24/7. Basic but filling breakfast buffet.200 metres from the ferry port. Would use again. Easy walk to pedestrianised part of town with plenty of restaurants.

No frills perfect location for overnight stop on the way to Sweden

When we arrived, we knew that you needed a number code to get to the hotel. We also had it in our hand, and after a little bit of fumble, it worked. We were inside. But it didn't help because the room was in the process of being built. The only hint was in Danish. The code was absolutely useless. There was a kind of bicycle lock that made it possible to access the key itself. We couldn't use this code. Trying it didn't help either. A nice Danish lady helped. She couldn't explain it either.
