Let's make a few things clear first. My family have been using this hotel for over 6 years. Every year we book 4/5 rooms, 6-8 nights each. By any world standards, we are regulars. By any standards, One would imagine that the management do something to recognise the loyalty and, let's be honest, amount of money we have spent- not here by the looks of it. Having spent the last 4 Christmas Breaks myself (i did not travel the first two times) at this hotel I must admit that I am badly dissapointed with the deteriorating standards and more importantly, ignorant and uttetly uninterested reception staff who are simply oblivious to any feedback or requests. To start with, the hotel must have installed a "new heating pump" - you can hear the gizmo everywhere on the ground and first floor of the hotel (we had rooms 2,3,4,5, 6 and 104), its like sleeping on a plane, humming and jack hammer like noises will effectively cancel any attempt for a decent sleep. When we reported the issue (on several occasions) the staff just gives you the "what are you on about look" and gets on with their day- no sorry, no "we can change your rooms"- you take it or leave it. Secondly, the meals- over the last few years we had been spoilt with a decent choice for breakfast and dinner. This time around, not only were there fewer dishes on the buffet (one table disappeared all together) but it also seems that they hired a "recycling champion" not a chef. So expect to eat dishes from yesterday, served in different forms- how fresh is that!!! I understand cost control but this was beyond common sense... 
Third- so called "customer service" One of the rooms we had (and we had 6 this time around) was allocated in a different wing of the hotel. When we asked to allocate that room nearer by (ie room number 1) we were told that the hotel was full (it was not) and nothing could be done. Room number 1 stayed VACANT for the duration of our stay. We had booked 4 months in advance. The "free wifi" is a joke, really...my 3G roaming was better than what they have there. The gym would not pass any basic heath and safety audits- shut it down!  All in all, this place really sucked this time around. On a positive note, the bar and restaurant staff (Patrick, Tomas, Milan and the fourth guy I cannot remember the name of) are great. Always smiling, saying hello, remembering us!! There service is ALWAYS good in their bar, nothing is too much of an issue. The hotel is also very clean (considering that it really carries the tooth of time) it could have been so much worse. So as they categorise themselves as a 3* hotel I disagree. Its top two with many many better options in the area. Think twice before booking. Sorry Sport Hotel, i really have fond memories from your place but your ignorance this time around pushed me to voice my frustration on  TA. Thanks
