If you want peace and quiet then this is your place!
Great location to the Centre, close to the beach, bus station in polis centre that can take you to most places and walkable to Latchi, lovely during the day!
A few cats on the resort and a loveable ginger one. Please feed them :)
We had a refurbed studio and loads of space and lovely balcony.
Polis it self gives you more than you need with plenty of eateries and bars. Lovely little town!

I stayed at the Bougainvillea Hotel in June 24 in a one bedroom apartment with my partner. I have been to Paphos many times but this was my first visit to Polis and first time in Cyprus for my partner. Being a hotel manager myself in the UK, I can be quite critical but I can honestly say this was one of the best holidays I have ever had. The team are so friendly and welcoming. The accommodation was clean and in a great location. Food was lovely, pool area clean and comfortable. Polis is a lovely village with some great restaurants. We walked through to Latchi several times which was good but I am pleased we stayed in Polis. We loved the Bougainvillea so much we booked to return in June 25. We are counting the days until we are back.

Not the newest complex but has everything you need for a self catering holiday. It’s clean & well equipped.
Near a few supermarkets, short walk to Polis centre & variety of places to eat or drink. 
Beach within walking distance (avoid short cut through campsite as it’s mosquito central)
Stavros is charming, staff helpful- hasn’t changed since last visit in 2009!

This is our first visit back to Bougainvillea and the Polis region for a number of years and it didn't disappoint. Stavros and his staff were friendly, efficient and always happy to help. The accommodation is great value, spotlessly clean, comfortable, quiet and superbly located for Central Square and beyond. The one downside is that there is no wi-fi in the rooms (there is in the bar/reception area), but for us that was a very minor inconvenience.  In common with so many others, we shall be back hopefully next year!

Stayed at these apartments for the first time from 2nd October until 11th. I never normally write a review but felt I needed to here. From the minute we arrived around 1am, we were greeted by the lovely Stavros, with a glass of juice and homemade cake, we were made to feel welcomed straight away. 
We were in apartment 2, which was a large apartment on two levels, with a lovely sun trap of a terrace at the front, and two balconies one on the ground and one upstairs. The apartments were typical for Cyprus, basic, clean and had all you needed. It was perfect for us. 
What makes these apartments are the family who run it, Stavros, Stella, Maria and the girls are just simply the nicest people you could ever wish to meet. So friendly, funny, welcoming and nothing too much trouble. We were first timers here, but everyone else staying here were return visitors of varying yrs, some here for 28th!!! Yr, this tells you all you need to know. 
Within 24hrs, we were fully relaxed, and felt like part of the family. 
If you are looking for tradition, calm, tranquility, and a lovely family welcome then this is the place for you. 
We have already booked for next yr, and cannot wait to see Stavros, Stella and the girls again.❤️❤️❤️❤️



Great, friendly place! Stavros and crew were amazing. A short walk to the square where all the restaurants are, didn’t have 1 bad meal! The breakfast at Bougainvillia was very nice too! Very clean and close to the beach too (12 minute walk). 

The pool was a little run down and could maybe do with a deep clean, but for the price I’d recommend it as you get what you pay for. We had a 14 and 16 year old and there was enough to do. 

We also got local busses to the water park which was a great day! The busses were just €5 per person for unlimited travel (did take us 3 busses and 2 hours but was worth it). 

We went to Lachi Harbour too which was very nice, plenty of boat trips to the Blue Lagoon. All in all, I wasn’t expecting much for such a cheap holiday, but left feeling good and would return.

Located near to the old town of Polis in a beautiful quiet part of the Island I can honestly say we have a had a great stay. 
Stavros the owner and staff are very welcoming, friendly and couldn’t do enough for guests. 
The accommodations is basic however has everything you need and Is cleaned to a high standard every day. 
A 7 euro a day extra  levy is charged for air con which is pretty standard throughout the island. 
We would definitely recommend this hotel  for those who want to see real Cyprus.

Friendly relaxing place.Lovely and clean.Stavros and his team are so lovely can't do enough for you.Lovely quiet spot no mad rush for sunbeds.Food was lovely and the old  town was just a 5 minute walk away which was really quaint and lots of restaurants all which serve lovely food.The locals here are just so nice and friendly.With it being a small place to stay we found most people at apartments wanting to chat so felt like home from home.Stavros the owner is such a lovely kind man and also Stella is such a lovely lady.Would go back here have come home feeling really relaxed and was sad to leave.

This is an absolute gem of a place. Stavros (the man, the myth, the legend!) is such a great host supported by a really friendly and helpful team. Lovely apartments with all the amenities you need, a great pool and they do a very good range of basic meals and snacks. Polis is lovely, a great beach just 15 minutes walk and plenty of tavernas in the town. Perfect week away.

Pleasantly surprised with the standard of accommodation & kitchen utilities, well situated for the beach & square where there are a few good restaurants our favourites being The Herb Garden & Moustakis, Nice walk along boardwalk to Latchi harbour, The place is more suitable to the older visitor as nothing for children which suited us fine. Stayed mid May in room1, weather hot during the day! Anything else ask Stavros....Bryan & Sandra

Very nice place!

An authentic hidden gem

We’ve just returned from Polis and the bougainvillea hotel apartments, Stavros and his team made us feel so welcome. 
On arrival day we were presented with  juice and a home cooked cake, everyone was so friendly. 
Now, I need to validate my four stars or rather the lack of a fifth, this was purely down to the apartment was in need of an update. There was everything you’d need for your stay and the space was huge as the apartments on two floors. 
As it was November the weather was better than expected, we had a storm but it cleared up by noon with nice sunny weather for the evening.
Polis is a small town, with say a dozen restaurants and a handful of bars open at this time of year and 3k (50mins) walk away along the coastal path is the harbour town of latchi where we spent our days. It’s about the same size but very pretty. 
I should say the walk to latchi was through the old camp site which is now derelict which was a shame but it’s only a small part of the walk, and the rest of the area is lovely. I believe  work is soon to commence on the camp site. 
We picked Polis because we hoped it would be less commercial than paphos and we got what we wanted. It was such a relaxing 7 days, the food was great everywhere we went and very reasonable. 
 We very much enjoyed our time.

We had a lovely stay here and Stavros and team were so welcoming and friendly. Stavros made a real effort to chat to everyone, he even got a smile out of our grumpy 14 year old. Tuie behind the bar was also lovely. The food is excellent too. The apartments are basic but had all we needed. The only downside was that the aircon is only on the first floor of the apartments so anyone sleeping downstairs is going to be very hot in the peak of summer. Location wise it's perfect, 5 minutes walk through the old campsite to a lovely quiet beach which you pretty much have to yourself with a very warm sea. (I recommend beach shoes as it's part rocky but still gorgeous). 5 minutes walk into the square which has plenty of bars and restaurants. There is a lovely restaurant just to the left of the apartments too. We got a 15 minute taxi ride to Latchi for a boat trip. It's probably walkable but not in the heat at this time of year. We found Polis more charming and authentic than Latchi, where all restaurants looks like same. Overall we had a lovely time and I recommend this great place!
