The Krizmanic Family B&B - Plitvice Lakes

We stayed for 3 nights in June 2018. The apartment was spotlessly clean and had everything you could need, including use of the beautiful garden to relax in at the end of a day walking. 
It’s a 5 minute walk to entrance 1 of the national park.
Two of the neighbouring B and B’s do evening meals, the garden restaurant called dinner in the garden was amazing and great value. 
Couldn’t fault the accommodation and would recommend it to everyone wanting a base close to the Plitvice national park.

We stayed here for one night and were sad to leave. The house is so charming and Ivana is a great, attentive host. Our suite was so much larger than we were expecting and it was very clean. 

We came to the area to explore the national park and we stayed here the evening before. We got into the area around 8:30 pm and the house is #15 on the left side of the street. There are many other bnbs along the same street, but just look for house #15. Parking was easy and Ivana was there to greet us. 

Breakfast was simple but delicious and enough to get us ready for exploring the lakes. 

FYI, There is a new "restaurant" that opened down the street that is part of another bnb. The chef cooks in this impressive outdoor brick oven/grill. They call the restaurant "dinner in the garden" and there is a small covered seating area with several tables outdoors. It's a pretty set menu and it seems like it varies day by day, but we throughly enjoyed our meal. It's run by a family and you definitely get that feel from them too. I felt like a guest in their home getting fed a solid home-cooked meal. 

I would definitely recommend staying at Ivana's bnb and recommend staying long enough to explore the area. 

Ivana made this visit feel like we were staying at home. First, the breakfast was delicious! A hard boiled egg, yogurt, lots of coffee, donuts, etc. got us off to a great start.

The suite itself is very spacious, quiet, well decorated, and large. It was only two of us, but four would have fit with a foldaway cot.

It is only a 10 min walk to the park entrance, which is great because you don't need to pay for parking. Ivana also has some great suggestions for food in the area.

We stayed for three nights in the "holiday house" next to the main house. There is a living/dining room, kitchen, and bathroom on the main floor and two bedrooms upstairs. Spotless. Adjacent to the house is a private covered eating area overlooking the pretty yard. Parking right outside our door. Although it was nice to have the privacy and space, we found the narrow spiral staircase awkward and somewhat dangerous to use so I wouldn't recommend it for the elderly or for children.
The location is ideal for visiting Plitvice Lakes, just a ten minute walk to the entrance. Be sure to go early to avoid the crowds
(we went at 7:30). We had a nice lunch (cheese and cold meat platter and salad) at Licka Kuka near the entrance. We enjoyed a dinner at the inn next to ours (#14) with four set menus (posted near their driveway at 7pm).

The B and B is located in the area called Rastovanca located near to the local restaurant which is opposite entrance 1. It is about 10-15 minutes walk to the entrance 1. We came here by bus. Unfortunately our bus only stopped at entrance 2 so we had to take another local van. It is the house is at the right side. The room is large with kitchen inside but we didn't use it. It is also clean.The bed is too soft imo. There is also balcony. However, it was quite hot during the day in late May and the aircon does not work. We opened the window instead but there was a large insect coming in the room. The breakfast was good. The wifi was strong too.
